Definitely hit up 6th street if you're in your early 20's. You'll have the time of your life! Otherwise, I'd avoid it unless you happen to see a movie at the Alamo Ritz. The best movie theater in the world. More

We had a great time in Sixth Street both on a friday and saturday. Great bars and resturants! And in the street there was good atmosphere and music. More

It's great for younger folks - more of a crazy, clubby experience. Sometimes I feel safety conscious there. With the exception of Parkside. That place has some of the best food in Austin! More

This is the perfect place for bar hopping. It's absolutely packed with bars, many places let girls drink free. Just not my scene. Some of the smaller bars without the loud techno music blasting thorugh the open doors seemed pretty inviting. More

Great bars and so much to see and do! Pete's Piano bar is a blast and try Esther's Follies! Awesome bars and tons of fun! It is a whole different world on sixth street! Love it! More
