I went to Austin for my birthday to see where SRV started his early days playing the blues. Wanted to see his statue and pay my respects to a try blues legend. I was also lucky to visit Antone's the night of Tommy Shannon's birthday bash. That was the hightlight of my Austin visit.

Though I was super excited to see SRV's statue I thought they would've put it in a bettter location instead of along the same trail as a dog park. The smell of urine and dog poop really took away from the experience.

A tribute to one of Austin's favorite musicians, SRV was not from here but became famous here. This is on the Lady Bird Lake hike and bike trail, but you won;t have to walk far to get here.
