So Delightful, So Close and yet SOOOO far Removed

"Accidently" stumbled on Tara Vineyards, and am so glad we did. My husband and I ended up having lunch on the terrace and buying a half case of wine. Michelle was our "host", if... read more

Tara Vineyard is a complicated venue. At once a secluded place to hear some live music and relax and the other, a below average restaurant and only adequate wine. The winery is situated on a hill overlooking the main house and could use some freshening of the décor. I found the food on several occasions to be below average but... More

Beautiful winery and great food. Go for wine tastings or dinner. They have an amazing B and B on the vineyard as well. We have been here at least 15 times. All the food is fresh. Wait staff so attentive. The owner always comes by our table to talk. Their chocolate wine is awesome. They have an outside area to... More

"Accidently" stumbled on Tara Vineyards, and am so glad we did. My husband and I ended up having lunch on the terrace and buying a half case of wine. Michelle was our "host", if you will, and was delightful. We did a "wine flight" and chose to bring home two bottles of the "going down easy" Blanc du Bois Dry,... More

Very nice spot for fine dining and music on the patio. Try the Carriage House Red Wine. Patrick and Susan, the proprietors, are always glad to welcome you.

Enjoyed good wine in a rural East Texas setting. Live music and good friends. It doesn't get much better.

We came here for my moms birthday. The environment is cozy and warm. The service was amazing. We've been to quite a few of the nicer steakhouses in Dallas and Fort Worth and to me this pretty much tops them all. The menu was diverse and delicious and the special this night was meatloaf stuffed with bleu cheese and wrapped... More

A family wedding brought us to this vineyard and inn. The Murchison house was beautiful and those who stayed there had great accommodations. Fortunately, they shared these with us as our cabin was inhabitable. The first sign that this was not going to be a good experience was being told there was no key to the cabin due to another... A bit pricey but excellent ambiance. Love the cheese plates. Wine samplers available. Best time is during Fall and Spring when you can sit outside.

Had a great time here, both for a wine-tasting, and then for dinner with coworkers. A good selection of truly fine, locally-grown wines, a really nice & attentive, helpful staff, and absolutely delicious food- my coworkers are still talking about our wonderful dinner here! The B&B is Gorgeous- hope to be able to return with hubs and stay there! HIGHLY... More

If you enjoy a good atmosphere, Tara is the place to be. The wine made here is fantabulous.......I really liked the Texas Twang wine. The sangria was good. A cheese plate was served with different flavors of cheese, crackers, salami, and olives. The Tara burger is awesome. Our friends really enjoyed the blue-cheese burger and a Romaine salad. their house... More
