My husband and I went to Los Cedros Ranch last week and rode horses for 3 1/2 hours. Phyllis, Kendra and Quay were amazing! I am not a rider but after a few minutes, I felt totally comfortable on my horse and my husband as well. The scenery was beautiful and Phyllis gave us a "history lesson" about the Palo... More

We had some amazing adventures on our road trip, but by far one of the most memorable days was our adventure to Los Cedros Ranch in Texas. Neither of us had much experience with horseback riding but we thought it would be a great experience to go for a morning horseback ride. Our experience was nothing but amazing. Phyllis, the... More

Me and my partner visited this this morning. She's into horses. Me... not do much. Until today. It really was one of the most peaceful, relaxing and moving experiences I can remember. If you're feeling stressed out by life I can't think of anything better. I could have done it for hours longer. Both Phyllis and Kendra look after you... More

If you even want to try horse riding a great stop. I was eager to get back but glad we took the time to stop. It was wonderful to see the canyon. What am amazing view. They take the time to tell you the history and coach you on riding the horses. A memory my girls will have for a... More

What a treat. My 11 and 6 year old had an amazing time. I had a great ride too!! Good stories of the history of the area with the Comanchees and Pueblo Indians. The view of the canyon was breathtaking.

My partner Ricardo won a trip to Amarillo from Texas Monthly Magazine, and a riding session for 2 at Cowgirls and Cowboys in the West was one of the prizes. We had more fun here than anywhere else on the trip. Ricardo had never ridden a horse before, but with Phyllis and her crew providing caring and professional assistance, he... More

Everyone looked after us so well - especially the little kids, no one was left out!! Great when you aren't riding too, scooting around in the mule was almost as much fun as riding the horses. Brunch was great too ;-)

I have been bucked off a horse twice and honestly was very leery about giving it a third go, but from the moment we met Phyllis and Quay all of that fear faded away! They both took the time to make us all feel comfortable and safe. The horses were beautiful and obviously well cared for and the ride itself... More

My daughter and I were traveling through Texas on her move from Michigan to Arizona. Fortunately we found you on tripadviser with excellent reviews. We enjoyed our ride very much and are thankful for a great memory that we have to share. The staff was very knowledgeable, the horses were well trained and the scenery was beautiful. We enjoyed hearing... More

My granddaughters (ages 12and 9) rode there from 1 day to four days. The staff was patient, kind and gave wonderful riding lessons to them. They went way beyond the normal care of them and the girls received such wonderful memories. They also got to meet people from many countries and share the beauty of the canyon in the Texas... More
