My family and I have a membership to DHDC. Though we don't go often, it's a solid museum that will occupy kids of differing ages busy and engaged for several hours, depending upon their speed with the exhibits and how many planetarium shows they watch. This place is clean and well kept and run by nice young people. They also... More

Sometimes its a dinosaur adventure, sometimes a science fair, sometimes has things to do with nature or school. Always something great for the kids.

Took the grand daughters there. Was surprised at all the great displays and hands-on stuff there was for them. Would go back in a heart beat.

Had my 9 year old boy that needed something to do. Lots of hands on activities. It isn't a big place - will take hour to 1/2 hours to go through but fun. We had science center reciprocal pass so it didn't cost anything. We would visit again if in town.

Visited on a Sunday just after it opened at noon and practically had the Center to ourselves for the first hour. Like many kids discovery centers there are permanent exhibits/activities and ones that rotate. My girls loved the Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures in Action (rotating) which gave them some gentle physical challenges. There are also numerous hands on activities to... More

Expensive without a membership but part of a much larger network of museums. Lots of hands on things, rotating exhibits and a great dome theater.

We visited the center on a rainy morning with 4 kids ages 5-9 and all of them had lots of fun (as did we). The new display (Run!Jump!Fly!) was awesome, the kids loved trying some new things (Yoga, snowbording, KongFu and more) as well as stamping the activities. Lots of educational activities, opportunities to be creative and curious. We entered... More

I've been here several times on field trips with my class (3rd-5th grade). The kids love the interactive aspect of the museum. Some of it is geared toward older kids (more reading and interesting scientific facts), and some more interactive for younger kids. I found much of it very interesting. It's big enough that there is plenty to do, but... More

This place is good when they have a new or traveling display. The regular standing exhibits are OK, but on the boring side of OK.

Hi, thank you for your review. I am sorry you did not enjoy some of our home exhibits. The good news is that we change out both our traveling and home exhibits about every 3 months to keep things fresh and exciting. We do realize not every exhibit will appeal to all audiences. We do own over 150 exhibits here... More

I love that it's hands on and do educational. The staff is polite and helpful. The planetarium is great. It is a little hard to find.
