small but cute.

Real lions in west Texas. A fun outside monkey display. Small zoo but very user friendly and doesn't take all day. Inexpensive and nice to take kids to.

Oh what a great surprise we were not expecting much and were very plesantly surprised. The keepers seemed to love the animals and the animals looked content and well looked after. We have similar small zoos in UK but they are nearly always very poor visitor experiences and over priced. This was neither and I think only cost 4 dollars (if I remember... It was like the had a huge budget for the zoo and spent it all on the monkeys. As you walk in, the spider monkeys have a HUGE enclosure and they are entertaining. However, as you continue on, it is evident the rest of the animal need more space.

A great place to spend a couple hours. Lots of big animals! Lions, tigers, bears. Monkeys were cool. Amphibians, birds. Misting stations to cool you off on hot days. The animals tend to sleep a lot during the day. First thing in morning and late afternoon is recommended for more activity. Enjoyed an ice cream at the end of our... More

Very small zoo with mostly farm animals; goats, horses, etc. The highlight of our visit was watching the monkeys. Very boring zoo!

It's a place or little activity to go do with your kids, but I recommend going on Monday as it's free on Mondays. I know the city makes an effort but I've been to many zoos and this one fails in comparison. I truly feel so bad for some of the larger animals that are kept in such a small... More

A very sad zoo. Small pens, lack of water, etc. Just made me so sad to see these animals like this. It should be closed and the animals moved to a better place.

The zoo has tried very hard and all the exhibits are very well done, but it's very small. For $10 for a family of 4 (1 adult, 1 kid at 9yrs old, 1 kid at 7 yrs old and 1 kid at 3 yrs old) it's a bit much for a 30 minute walk taking a peek at animals. My... More

Needed to kill a few hours in Amarillo so we decided to give the zoo a try. It was a great decision! The kids had a blast seeing the animals and playing in the zoo's play structure. My wife commented on how happy the animals look and I was shocked at how close we were. This was a great way... More
