I cannot imagine what people would have to say about this zoo except great things. It is large enough to see all that you would want but small enough to maneuver. We loved it and our 2 year old thought is was spectacular (even on a cold day)!

Lovely little zoo, had to place to ourselves to look round and explore. Cheap, definitely worth a visit.

This was a wonderful place to visit. We went on a quiet day and the animals were all lively and in such beautiful condition with plenty of space. Even the snakes were moving around and it was fascinating. Please visit, only about £2 each to go in, worth far more

A cute, smaller zoo that allows you to get closer to the animals than you normally would in big zoos. Very clean, and friendly staff. They also have a neat reptile house and bring the turtles out for lunch in a pen outside so the guests can see even closer. We had a fun experience!

The Amarillo Zoo is one of the few things this community can be most proud of. Always clean, a little bit different each visit. Family friendly. Great staff. Keep up the great work, City of Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department.

This place will take you back to your younger years of western movies and dusty cowboys. It is a place the whole family can and will enjoy.

It was not so easy to find the entrance to the zoo but after a while we made it. It's a small zoo which works well if you have small children who get tired of walking. It looked like they take care of the animals pretty well and there were young volunteers to show things. The entrance fee is low... More

We visited on a Monday and got in for free, every other day it is 4$ for an adult. The zoo has a very nice variety for its small size and definitely is worth the visit.

Very small zoo, about a 30 min walk-through. Good for small children. No on-site map, easy to navigate. No snack vendors and gift shop was closed during our visit. The best exhibit at the Amarillo zoo was the ring-tailed lemur exhibit and the tiger exhibit since both enclosures allow patrons up close views. Don’t worry about spending your money at... More
