If you are on I-40 and pass the Big Texan....you will regret. This place is a must, at least once during your travels. I have stayed at the hotel attached. I travel with a pet and let me just say...the rooms are quirky and get you through a night in a pinch for a hot shower and clean bed. But... More

I had the steak sliders, very good. Wife had the sirloin and enjoyed that. 1 year old had the chicken fried steak and loved it.

I don't often do roadtrips, so there are many sights you just don't see in cosmopolitan cities and Big Texan is a gem. It was a fun place to stop for lunch. There was a carnival style air gun game, fortune telling machines, taxidermy trophies covered the walls. They had a gift shop and a candy store. If you stop... More

Great dinner, Texas sized, fun atmosphere. Wait staff seem to enjoy themselves, that makes it fun for the patrons. I had a free prime rib dinner as it was my Birthday. Nice touch. Would go hungry! One of the best times we had eating out.

Took a road trip through Amarillo and stopped in for lunch. Atmosphere was great, food was wonderful, and because we ate off the lunch menu, our total (for 2 adults with no appetizer) was under $50. Make sure you walk through to the back and check out all the photo opportunities & the beer garden. Fun gift shop, and the... More

The food was great and the service excellent. Three people gave a try to eating the 72 ounce steak dinner in one hour. They did not succeed, but it was a lot of fun encouraging them.

Revisited after 30 years. I used to have family in Amarillo who would take us there when we visited from NY. They see it as the tourist spot but we experienced it as a place to say "I've been there" when it airs on the travel channel or when bragging to co-workers of your odd-ball travels. It's an expensive visit... More
