My family has lived in Aiken for 26 years and one of the very best things our small town has to offer is Hopeland Gardens. It sits very near the town center with easy access. It is a beautiful park full of wonderful trees, flowers, water, and walking paths. During the summer there are wonderful concerts held in the bandstand.... More

One of the most beautiful garden and grounds you will experience. From the brick walls to the paths the shape the grounds, to the big beautiful trees, It's a great play to walk, go to the concerts in the spring, have a wedding, or do homework, It's so nice to visit anytime of the year. Beautiful gardens even in late January. The city of Aiken is so fortunate to have such gardens with its magnificent live oaks, magnolia trees, and pines.

We just love going on walks, and the kids LOVED the different decorated Horses around the Gardens. The water is very lovely to sit and look at. Great spot to stop and photograph, or walk around and explore with kids, or take with a romantic someone to get away for a min, definitely something for everyone.

We walked through the whole of Homelands Gardens while seeking the Thoroughbred Hall of Fame Museume, within. Despite the dreary winter day, the gardens were magnificent. Winding paths between lovely, old, tree and plant specimens (neatly labeled for the connoisseur), the gardens brought cheer and relaxation despite the absence the riot of colors we are certain would be present in... Walk through light tour. Extemely worth the ride on the shuttle from Citizens Park. Thousands and thousands of lights. My favorite was the frog jumping in the pond. There was also one of those displays set up with dance music where the lights react to the music which was awesome. I was told that was just there that night so... More

We visited during Christmas when the gardens were well decorated with thousands of lights and displays. Walking through the gardens is a great way to spend the evening after supper downtown Aiken.

The beautiful light displays and music filled the air, along with hot cider, and hot chocolate at no charge. They totally depend on donations. If your in Aiken it is a great walk to take

Beautiful. Amazing photo opportunities. Loved the scenery. Very calm and peaceful. Saw some wildlife. There were Christmas lights up at the time but we went super early, I would think it would have been more beautiful to see all the lights lit up.

Thank Megan P
