Love the buildings that have been lovingly restored! Where are all the ducks? Doll House is so cute.

Go see the big Oak trees, ponds, ducks, turtles and flowering trees in spring! And they put lights up at Christmas! Your going to want to bring a camera!

Christmas in Aiken would not be complete without The Lights Before Christmas at Hopeland Gardens. During December, the lights are aglow and they have different choirs and people singing each night, or a movie. The lights are always beautiful, and the evening is always topped off with free hot chocolate and cider (donations are welcomed). Shuttles run from Citizen's Park... More

This place is so beautiful, definitely the hidden treasure of Aiken. It's a beautiful place to take a walk, picnic, nap, or take pictures. Despite being in the middle of town, it's so quiet and tranquil. Beautiful trees, beautiful place!

We have been here several times and always enjoy a leisurely stroll in the gardens. Don't think gardens in the sense of a botanical garden. Think more low key than that, more of a well-preserved park in which people actually stay on the paths. At Christmastime, the park is lighted with thousands of lights, and the historic buildings on the... More

This was a great way to get in the spirit for Christmas. It's a walk through light exhibit, mostly statues and characters, topped off by free hot chocolate or cider and cookies. You can walk through as much or as little as you choose. It's a great family activity. Parking is at a lot in Citizen's Park with a shuttle... More

Visited Christmas at Hopeland Gardens tonight for a walking Christmas light tour. It was wonderful. Great lights, hot cocoa stands, and historical venues to enjoy. A great way to get into the Christmas spirit! Be sure and take in a few dollars for donations.

Really love Hopeland Gardens; lovely landscaped area. At Christmas it's decorated with lights and lit displays. Recommend it highly.

Step back in time in this beautiful place. Large old trees and garden ponds . Great scenery and plenty of perfect places to take great photos! Def one of Aiken's treasures! Enjoy the trees shrubs and flowers while taking a walk in a peaceful place right in the middle of a very busy area of town. A must see.

From the previous reviews this month we figured the Christmas lights would be on at night but that wasn't the case; no lights until December 7 or 12 (can't remember the exact date). Nonetheless, the park is beautiful and makes for a nice little walk through the many paths. If you are in to horse racing they have quite an... More
