The gardens a wonderful southern stroll in any season. You can find a nice place for a picnic, a private place for a romantic moment, and even let the kids run under the live oaks. By far the best time to visit is when the City of Aiken spongers Christmas lights that make the gardens magical in the evening. Summer... More

This was a wonderful place to visit at Christmas with the kids & grandkids. We started off with hot chocolate as we ventured down the lighted pathway. The Christmas lights were beautiful & the small homes had lots of history. The grandkids enjoyed the arts & crafts as colored and ate cookies with Mrs Santa. I enjoyed the artwork and... More

Beautiful setting..quiet escape from business of the city. We have been here several times. Not a lot blooming but still lots of shades of green

I make seasonal trips to hopelands to take photos of flowers and insects, on July 26, 2015 our church held our Sunday service at the ampitheatre and it was fantastic.

Hopelands is a GEM. My husband and I were married there and it is a truly special place. We go often to just walk and look at the gorgeous trees. It's a great place for a picnic or a walk with children or dogs.

Hopelands is such a gorgeous place! My husband proposed to me here and it couldn't have been more perfect! Christmas at Hopelands is magical as well with over 100,000 lights decorating the garden!

Nice flora, quiet pathways for a lazy walk. Pass on the Museum unless you are a big horse and horse racing fan. Was a bit dry, but was a good place to cool off on a hot day. Been to bigger gardens, but this was AOK. Has a lot to offer I suppose with the amphitheater etc.

All year round a person can take fantastic photos. Definitely worth going to and taking the family. The workers on site are very friendly and are helpful too.

When in Aiken you really should find time to visit Hopeland Gardens. It is clean, relaxing, beautiful and free from charge - what's not to love? The space facilitates walking, jogging or even a gentle stroll surrounded by trees, greenery and nature. Great for thinking, chatting, eating (take a picnic) and on a Monday evening in the summer there are... More
