Hopeland Gardens is a must place to go when you are in Aiken S C. Beautiful flowers, shrubs, majestic Oak and Cyprus trees which provides a nice, quiet day for relaxing. During the summer, there are concerts each Monday afternoon and during the Christmas season, a fantastic light show.

Even when things are a little out of bloom, this is a beautiful natural park. You can see how the gardens must have been spectacular in the past. Shaded and peaceful, the swans were there and the koi pond is amazing.. the biggest I've seen in a long time. Inside the gardens is the Race Horse Museum and its a... More

This is a great place to walk around on a sunny day and enjoy nature. At Christmas the City of Aiken lights it up (around Dec. 20 or so and this is free there is a shuttle for this at the Fresh Market parking lot at xmas time). You can park at two different areas to enjoy Hopelands Gardens. It... More

Enjoyed a peaceful stroll in the garden in spite of the rain. Watched a pair of bufflehead ducks on the pond and then admired the bright colors of the carp just below the water. Moss hanging from the live oaks looked almost mystical in the haze of the rain. Nice that there is no entrance fee for garden. Picnic tables... More

A beautiful garden with a pond with ducks, fish and other aquatic animals. It also has many twisted old trees, very picturesque. I did a slideshow that I set to music with the photos I took.

What a grand and glorious place to visit. Peaceful and beautiful, for all families. Magnificent trees and foliage, along with terrific concerts held Monday evenings in the summer.

You won't want to miss this treat. At Christmas there's lights. In warm weather there's outdoor musical performances in the evenings. It's a beautiful place for a stroll. There's a labyrinth as well.

We have been going to Hopelands for 26 years and never get tired of visiting. The flowering plants change throughout the year, as well as the exhibits hosted at the Racing Hall of Fame, which is housed in the former stable. There is a great concert series in the summer, and superb light exhibit at Christmas.
