If you have ANY interest in railroading or Altoona history, this is the place to see, along with Horseshoe Curve. You can easily spend several hours here. If you plan to do it in a couple of hours, you will want to return another day!

If you are a train/history buff, you need to put this on your list. A well rounded coverage of the history of Altoona and the steam engine industry. If you are a train buff, you can spend a couple of hours patiently absorbing 3 floors of exhibits and artifacts.

Altoone and the Pennsylvania Railroad were intertwined. This facility has many interactive displays describing that co-existance. There is a gift shop and bathroom facilities on site.
