Lakemont Park used to be beautiful with mature trees and the finest wooden carousel, but the county sold the park and the trees were cut down and the carousel was sold in pieces to the highest bidder. The rides haven't been updated in years. The park food is terrible. There is a water park that young children will enjoy. Older... More

Don’t expect a big time thrill park- think more along the lines of traveling carnival and you won’t be disappointed. Lakemont is a small, family park. It has all the typical rides that you’d expect to find on a carnival midway, with the added attraction of a big roller coaster and a speedway (additional fee for each). The rides are... More

Very similar to Delgrosso's. It has some different rides and also has a day each week when you can get in for 5$. This has a few bigger kid rides like roller coasters and it also has the oldest roller coaster which is really a lot of fun.

I grew up in Altoona in the 1950,s and all our family reunions were held at the park. We loved the wooden roller coaster, oldest in the country The waterpark is fun for grandkids, but I remember fun summer days spent in the large pool and diving off the board. Paddle boating on the lake is great exercise and in the... More

Best part of the park is the leaping dips and that is a pay per ride. Parking & admission is free which is nice. The rides are old, which is not always bad, but lack of maintenance can be. The park is about 3-4 hours of fun and thats it. The wooden coaster is rougher than most wooden coasters I... More

I went there with high hopes but it was a disappointing experience especially when we went to the Island waterpark. There was a swimming pool with 3" depth some basic fun stuff for children and a couple of waterslides which were closed. We were hardly in the pool for a couple of mins and came back because the water was... More

Lakemont is a small park near the center of PA. It has three coasters. The small steel Little Leaper coaster,The wood Skyliner relocated from Roseland Park Canandaigua,NY. and Leap The Dips the world's oldest operating wood coaster. There is a water park and a small selection of other rides that you don't see in the big theme parks. Rides like The... More

We go here every year with our kids. The water area is not the best, but for the 5 $ admission its ok. The park is small enough that our boys walk around on their own. Take a picnic.. not much to eat there but lots of picnic tables. Rides are like carnival rides. Great place for families. It a... More

Lakemont is such an inexpensive way to have a fun day. My children, ages 14 and 6 had a good time. We went on a Wednesday and it cost $5.00 per person to ride and slide all day. The slides are big enough for my 14 year to have fun but small enough that my 6 year old was able... More
