Since the museum renovated I became a member.. it is beautiful and so easy to get around and see everything... the galleries are stunning. The Bertoia sound sculpture is so amazing to hear... have a guard play it for you... we cannot touch! The gift shop has something for everyone and the deli/lunch spot is refreshing and fresh!!!

This museum is in an area of town that looked very rough. I was surprised at the streets I had to take to get to it, bad neighborhoods. Once I got to the location the immediate area around it was just ok from what I could see it looks as if that town is trying to make a come back.... More

I stopped by here based on Tripadvisor reviews. I didn't have much time to spend here, but I would give it a solid 3 & 1/2 stars as an attraction. There's a rotating special exhibit and a great children's area sponsored by Crayola where kids can color using colored pencils. It's not as big as other smaller city museums I've... More

Haven't been there recently but the few times I have been, this museum is excellent for a "regional" venue (as opposed to big city such as Philadelphia) and I've enjoyed some excellent special exhibits such as Pa. Impressionism and Amish quilts).

For a mid-sized city, this art museum is a gem! Recently renovated and expanded, the galleries always have some wonderful surprises. The Frank Lloyd Wright room is worth the visit alone!

thumbs up! Great little cafe. Been to this museum twice for IlluxCon. Great show - great permanent items on display. Hope to go back again this fall.

Located in downtown Allenown, this museum is conveniently located, with parking on street and nearby. There are regularly scheduled special exhibits, such as Indian art; art glass; graphic work of Toulouse Lautrec, well-known Depression Era photography. The cafe is attractive with glass walls and serves healthy small plates. Elevator to other floors. Nice gift shop. Two hours here are we'll-spent.

This summer, just like last summer has free admission! You can't beat that! We had a calm, pleasant walk through the exhibits where I was able to share my love of art with my teenage daughter who hadn't been there since grade school.

I love these smaller museums; they are so vital and exciting. I wanted to go through each gallery at least twice. Wonderful art; free admission this summer!

We went again today to the Allentown Art Museum. It is free all summer and free on Sundays all year. And on Sundays at 2:00 there is a free tour of their latest exhibit and activities for children. We go every time there is a new exhibit and spend a little time also seeing their permanent exhibits.
