Edenvale is probably the best winemaker in Southern Oregon. Wines are made carefully, and most important, not sold until absolutely positively ready to drink. That's an amazing way to sell wines

Visited their downtown Ashland tasting room. The server was informative and personable. Especially enjoyed a few of the wines and bought 4 bottles. Of the 3 wineries we visited in Ashland,we liked their wines the best.

We came upon this small vineyard when staying in Ashland and we were exploring the surrounding area. It is near Jacksonville which is well worth a visit too. This winery has a female wine maker and a loyal staff who sell the wines in a friendly but very professional manner. Our host went beyond the normal paid for tasting as... More

We actually visited the tasting room in Ashland. The host was excellent, and we enjoyed learning about Oregon wines. We purchased a half case of each of our favorites - Viognier (white) and Syrah (red). The latter was a tough choice since we also enjoyed the Pinot Noir.

We stopped here for a tasting and picnic. The winery is set in a lovely location, with many grape vines to walk through and explore. The wines are universally good, and the pourers knowledgeable and not at all snooty. Lots of tables scattered around for your picnic needs. There is a charge for tasting , which was waived for us... Come and try the red wines, many of which are much longer aged than what you typically find. You'll be pleasantly surprised, and the prices are reasonable.

In fact, people who were there with me from California felt it was better than Napa Valley wineries. Due to traveling from the Eastern time zone, I had a few hours to kill before I could check in to my hotel in Medford. The hotel desk suggested Edenvale, which won out when they mentioned an awesome Merlot-Syrah blend which I... More
