Description: Eden Valley Orchards 2319 Voorhies Road Medford, OR 97501 This orchard...
Eden Valley Orchards 2319 Voorhies Road Medford, OR 97501 This orchard property has been in cultivation since the mid-1850s. Joseph H. Stewart bought and named Eden Valley Orchards in 1885 and became widely recognized as the father of the commercial pear industry in Southern Oregon. Stewart sold the area's first railroad-carload of pears to outside markets in 1890. Two dozen of Stewart's original pear trees remain, in addition to a beautiful block of highly sought after Seckel pears that welcome visitors as they enter the property. The entire property was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 14, 2000. For over a century the property's centerpiece -- the Voorhies Mansion-- has been a well-known and beloved landmark in Jackson County. It historically has been a social gathering place for local people, and its proportions, surrounding amenities, and valley views are highly attractive to guests. Our pears are available through our winery's tasting room during August and September. We are open seven days a week from 11 am to 6 pm (summer hours). Check out our calendar of events on our website. The Voorhies Mansion, historic Barn and property are available for weddings and other special events. Located in the historic Voorhees mansion, EdenVale's tasting room is in a building separate from the main house. The setting is casual; I really liked the high stool and high table combos inside when it was 90+ F outside. But outside is great, especially in the evening, with views up and down the small valley in which it's situated. The... More

We took a wine tasting excursion to Edenvale last week. One of us tried the reds and one the whites. They are very knowledgeable, and we are neophytes.

On our annual visit to Ashland, we always take a day or two for Southern Oregon wine tasting. Eden Vale is one of our favorites for the variety of wines produced, the quality and reasonable prices. also, the tastings are of vintage wines so you have a chance to savor how they have matured. The gentleman who runs the tasting... More

Great little winery not far off I-5. Very friendly staff. Rich poured the wine and explained every intricate detail about each bottle. The wines are very good. The atmosphere is hard to beat. "Old school" with many vintage pictures and old newspapers-1930ish- that are kewl to read! $10 for a 6 flight tasting. Highly recommended!

Visited Eden Valley Estates Wines tasting room. The owner was warm and welcoming. I learned a lot more about wines and was introduced to some I had never tried. Brought home several bottles and will look for and buy Eden Valley wines when ever I find them

Learn as you taste, and never again buy a bottle of wine you don't like. "Flights" of wine - usually 5 or 6 different tastes for around $10 - are a fantastic way to find what you love.

Eden Vale wines are delicious. They exemplify the full bodied, fruit forward wines of the new world. They're fun, interesting, complex, and nicely balanced. My husband and I joined their wine club a couple years ago and we have been thrilled with each shipment. The tasting room staff was friendly and knowlegeable.
