Revisited Mt. Ashland 40+ years after learning to ski here. The snow was good but overcast, and the runs were open with few skiers. Unfortunately not very much ski area has increased since I last skied here. However, the lifts have been updated. It's a nice family ski area near Mt. Ashland.

We are glad you enjoyed your day at Mt. Ashland! Mt. Ashland did attempt to increase skier terrain, but after 20 years of legal back-and-forth, we are now more focused on being the best little family-friendly ski area in the country. Lots of skiers and riders have found the side country worthy of exploration, if more terrain is what you... More

For a community ski chalet and multiple run experience highlighting the great State of Jefferson (that's what Oregon and California residents who feel less represented in their respective capital governments self-describe) some 7K feet up, this is the place to be while viewing both states with a grand "ausblick" to wondrous Mt. Shasta. Enormous pride by community volunteers makes this... More

You can see the summit from I-5 and from the vineyards at various wineries on the eastern side of greater Ashland, but to get to the summit, you must drive the almost to the California state boarder. The view is wonderful from the ski area and do drive to the meadows behind the main peak.

Conveniently located near the border of Northern California, Mount Ashland is a good little hike that is not too difficult, even for me. During the snowy winter season, it is a ski resort, although I have never skied here, it appears to be an intermediate level. Mount Ashton is very easy to access from Ashland, Oregon...home of a wonderful Shakespeare... More

We visited for the views of the Siskiyou mountains and valleys; a tremendous view, though the wildflowers were long spent.

I have been to Ashland a few times now and I always enjoy the scenery while visiting family. Ashland is a quiet and peaceful little city and Lithia park near downtown is beautiful to see. There's plenty to see in the area and lots to do!

After driving as far to the top of Mount Ashland as possible, my family then mountain biked back into town. The scenery was beautiful and it's a fun ride down.

Mt Ashland is not only a ski resort but an excellent place to climb, meditate or be out at night under the stars with a clear view of the heavens. You can drive up to a transmitting tower and park your car in spring, summer and fall. Then walk around in the completely natural landscape.

Drove up to the ski resort and had to hike the rest of the way to the top because of the snow cover. The view from the top is amazing. A great view and a memorable trip with my best friend during our stay at grad school in Ashland. Check the reviews for up to date driving conditions. Also check... More

Yes, you can see Mount Shasta and California from the top! We were there in early summer and the wild flowers were going crazy. There's even primitive tent camping at the top. Gorgeous!
