Fun Mountain Biking Area

After driving as far to the top of Mount Ashland as possible, my family then mountain biked back into town. The scenery was beautiful and it's a fun ride down.

Mt Ashland is not only a ski resort but an excellent place to climb, meditate or be out at night under the stars with a clear view of the heavens. You can drive up to a transmitting tower and park your car in spring, summer and fall. Then walk around in the completely natural landscape.

Drove up to the ski resort and had to hike the rest of the way to the top because of the snow cover. The view from the top is amazing. A great view and a memorable trip with my best friend during our stay at grad school in Ashland. Check the reviews for up to date driving conditions. Also check... More

Yes, you can see Mount Shasta and California from the top! We were there in early summer and the wild flowers were going crazy. There's even primitive tent camping at the top. Gorgeous!

Ashland, Oregon, on Interstate-5 is one of the most beautiful areas in Oregon, and in the country. Well recommended!

Year round hiking, skiing, exploring, access to the Pacific Crest Trail. Sweet campgrounds, great wildflower displays in the summer. You'll see plants and trees there you will see nowhere else on Earth! Love it!

The thing about Mount Ashland is that it IS stunning and you do have such high expectation. As an SOU kid, I have multiple experience with her. Be it a spontaneous 2 a.m. drive up the mountain just to see the stars, be it a well-planned trip to ski (to master that bunny hill for a beginner like me) -... More

You are greeted with 360 views at the top. Take time to see the area by driving up to Mt. Ashland. On the way, you will cross the PCT. If you are interested, there is a wonderful day hike on the PCT. You will cross fields of wildflowers and be treated to views into CA mountains.

Pretty easy drive and it is very pretty - Skiing looks good but we just hiked on a late fall day. Will be back to give the skiing a go if we ever get any snow.

Sure, it's a popular ski resort, but I love coming here in the other seasons, especially summer when the skies clear and the hiking trails are fun. The resort is closed so hit the loo before you go and be prepared to make discrete pit-stops along your way. Amazing views from the road, parking lot, even if you don't take... More
