You can make an all-day trip out of this one place. There's so much to see. Great thing this zoo is known for is large exhibits that allow the animals to move freely in a natural setting. We live about 20 minutes away and buy a season pass every year. This Zoo is far superior to many others we have visited. Lots of animals in spacious habitats. There are staff members everywhere and anyone of them will be glad to answer any questions you may have. All of the animals are loved and well cared for. Don't... more

We just got back from the NC Zoo in Asheboro. It was great. We only went one day and only saw the Africa part. We chose to go to Africa first because when they opened, everyone went to N. America! The parking lot was full by the end of the day and not anywhere near as busy as Africa. It... more

We loved this zoo. We loved all the trees in the park. This made the trip so enjoyable since we didn't bake in the sun! Everyone was very friendly and we saw lots of the animals up close. One of the nicer zoos we've visited. more
