Good boat ramps and cheap (6)

We went to see the lake to find out about boating on the lake. They have fabulous boat ramps but no place to rent a boat. The beaches looked clean.

Went on a sunset cruise and was delighted by the natural environment. We saw many cormorants, some balk eagles, and gorgeous vistas.

My nephew and his family took us here on a Wednesday morning. Luckily it was a week day, so it was nice and quiet. He told us that on the weekends, it is a zoo. The lake is really nice. We stopped by a sandy area and went for a swim. A great place to visit.

Jordan Lake was our first stop on our North Carolina Adventure as my daughter named it. We had tried to map out a few landmarks and activities along our 9 hour drive into the state. We noticed that this lake had food trucks and we thought it would be a nice stop-in to enjoy some food and walk around at... More

We used to tent camp here all of the time, but this is the first time we have pulled a trailer here. I forgot how nice this park is. We are staying in Crosswinds loop C. I love how big the sites are, every one is so scenic. The only complaint, no sewer hookups which is why we have been... More

We came to Crosswinds park which is one of 6 (I think) campgrounds on Lake Jordan state recreation park. It was our first time here and our first time rv camping. The site was great. Very shaded. Great views. Loved our time there. Will definitely be returning.

I went here with my parents while they were visiting. We were originally going to do a quick one night trip to Wilmington but my fiance hurt his back and I didn't want to be 2 hours away, so we decided to check out Jordan Lake since it was close. We had a wonderful time. We went to Seaforth, which... More

We went with a Girl Scout troop, so we camped in the reserved areas of the grounds so we could get enough room for several tents and a big, open firepit. But, if you're in this area of the campground, you CANNOT drive your car into the grounds because they have the driveways blocked on purpose. So, you have to... More

Beach at crosswinds Campground wasn't crowded. It was clean and water was warm but still refreshing. Stayed two nights.

Stayed over 2 nights in the poplar point campground tent sites B loop. Had a beautiful and level lakeside campsite. Shower and toilets were clean and functional. My biggest complaint about the showers was the size of the doors. If you are very modest, they are a mere formality. There was handicap shower that had a full curtain. Since it... More
