Jordan lake is not great for boating! Water levels are unpredictable. One min its 5ft and next its 30ft then 5ft again in seconds! I hit a stump in the lake and lost my trolling motor! So I'm only going to boat at one place from this point on and not falls!! Hope this helps!

Cannot wait for summer and boating season to arrive so we can get back out on the lake. The lake is somewhat muddy but the ramps and parks are well maintained. Plenty of coves to anchor nod enjoy the day. Eagles are a common sight, so sit back and enjoy.

Jordan lake is a great place to swim or boat. However in the summer months it hosts the largest collection of bald eagles in the lower 48 states. There are also a large amount of ospreys and hawks at the lake.

If you are a boater and live in the area, you could boat here for years and not get bored. They are many nooks and crannies to find around the lake with plenty of places on the shore to anchor and swim. Plentiful wildlife, quite a few beaches for swimming and bbq'ing, and great camping.

The park is beautifully set in the center of NC. The lake is very accessible. Camping sites, bathrooms, and showers are handicap accessible and cleaned regularly. Food stores are within 20 minutes east or west on Hwy 64. It can be difficult to rent a campsite at the waters edge during holiday season so plan your outing well in advance.... More

Jordan can be unpredictable, it gets very crowded with all forms of water craft, and can be dangerous if you don't stay very alert. Boats hauling tubers or other inflatable items can cross your bow at high speed, or dump their riders into the water with high frequency. Experienced boaters tend to stay away from the beach areas and the... More

You can not imagine how big Jordan Lake is! It is absolutely beautiful any time of the year. You can rent boats to take out on the lake for the day. There are beaches, trails, boat launches, fishing areas, picnics areas and more! Absolutely beautiful day with nature!

Great park to visit during the week, I'm not so sure about the weekend as I've heard that it gets crowded. A lot of views and locations to walk around. There's a small play ground for the kids to enjoy and quiet. It seemed lonely when I was there. Free admission during the week and 6 dollars on weekend?
