We went with a Girl Scout troop, so we camped in the reserved areas of the grounds so we could get enough room for several tents and a big, open firepit. But, if you're in this... read more

I went here with my parents while they were visiting. We were originally going to do a quick one night trip to Wilmington but my fiance hurt his back and I didn't want to be 2 hours away, so we decided to check out Jordan Lake since it was close. We had a wonderful time. We went to Seaforth, which... More

We went with a Girl Scout troop, so we camped in the reserved areas of the grounds so we could get enough room for several tents and a big, open firepit. But, if you're in this area of the campground, you CANNOT drive your car into the grounds because they have the driveways blocked on purpose. So, you have to... More

Beach at crosswinds Campground wasn't crowded. It was clean and water was warm but still refreshing. Stayed two nights.

Stayed over 2 nights in the poplar point campground tent sites B loop. Had a beautiful and level lakeside campsite. Shower and toilets were clean and functional. My biggest complaint about the showers was the size of the doors. If you are very modest, they are a mere formality. There was handicap shower that had a full curtain. Since it... More

We went to jordan lake twice and we really enjoy the good air and recreation there. However, the latest time, we went to a commercial boat rental center called crosswinds boating center. The experience is really bad. The life jacket were all on the floor in a muddle. We spent a hard time to find the suitable ones. They are... More

Jordan Lake is designed for people, especially families, to take some time off and relax and enjoy the water and each other. Their are picnic areas, boat ramps, marinas, sandy beaches, and hidden coves that allow you to seek out how you want to spend your time while on or near the lake. One of my favorite activities is to... More

We decided to go here instead of the Beach for a local spot and could not be happier. It is nice and quiet. So many beach areas to choose fro, and have bathroom facilities along with a BBQ area near the beaches.

My husband and I spent a whole day of hiking 8 months ago (after all but one of the campgrounds had closed for the season) to choose our campsite for a 10 day trip. We made our reservations in September for June 5 after choosing what we considered the best site in the park. The site had only one adjacent... More

Jordan Lake is a huge lake surrounded by campgrounds, beaches and recreational facilities. It is operated by the State of North Carolina and is a wonderful place for a camping trip or family excursion. Campsites are huge and many have electricity and water hookups. Sites may be reserved in advance but generally sites are available just but coming in except... More

Camped at Parker's creek without a reservation, as I have done every time I go to Jordan camping. Went early on Friday after I got off my night shift job to go put up my tent and get a good spot that had a good trail to the lake. My 5 yo son loved it, and there were alot of... More
