The story is that young Turkish couples hang out at the windmils and write lovenotes to the walls.. Looks like graffiti but cute story behind. The sights were excellent to every direction.

well dont expect to see any actual windmills but what you get is a scenic view of the entire city side which includes the sea shore with all the fancy yachts parked as well as the beautiful houses with all of them in white and blue colour. Must visit i would only for the view that you get from this... More

Great view from the hills surrounding Bodrum. One of the windmills has been renovated and gives a good impression of how it must have been. Hopefully the others will be rebuild the same way.

Windmills in Gumbet, above Bodrum city are very sweet. Although quite falling apart - some of them, they are typical panorama of this area. I still cannot believe that these mills are allegedly from the Greeks... Turks have sometimes good sense of humour regarding such things... Who knows...?

These windmills look lovely, illuminated at night at the top of the hills from a far, however in the plain light of day up close are less so impressive.

These derelict windmills overlook the Bodrum peninsula, with great views of the castle, and Gumbet. The sight is fantastic with Kos on the horizon on a clear day

it was just next to our hotel. I like those windmills. Easily accessible. When you go to visit you have a view at the marina, the beach and the city. It takes your breath.

DEspite the heat of the midday sun,a climb/walk up to the windmills is a definate must do.It is a slog up to the top in all honesty, but an achievement if you can make it.You can see for miles and miles across the landscape. The windmills themselves that look tiny as you approach are absolutely beautiful to look at when you arrive...
