Very well preserved, nice view. We did it with young children (1 and 5 year old), so we had a baby carrier because no stroller is possible.

If you are in the area it is really worth a visit. A little pricey perhaps so just ensure you get your timings right. Between12-1300 almost all of the exhibit rooms close. We were there early May and even the cafe was closed at lunch!(??). Most of the exhibits are really well done and the views are spectacular.
Entry cost is reasonable and gives you access to most of the grounds and also access to the museum displays. Hadn't realised that the castle has had extensive rebnovations as it was bombarded during the First World war by a French battleship. We came here as we were boating Bodrum for the day, it's only 20TL each to Enter which is well worth it. The underwater museum is within the castle so in with the price. The castle it's self has a long and a short walking tour both with lovely views across the harbour. Go visit!
You can visit the castle of St Peter together with the Underwater archeology museum. You have to pay 18 TL for a visit to this castle/museum. But the view if you're standing on top of one of the towers is already worth double the price!! A must-see..
This restaurated castle is large and has beautifull views of the surrounding sea. There are many rooms to visit. Everywhere you feel the history here.
Needed at least 3 hours to explore, and good calf muscles. But we have nver visited a castle like it, very impressed

Many of the old coats of arms and carvings are still in excellent shape and help to accentuate the history that you learn as you walk through. Many of the...

There is much to see and experience here. But be aware some of the steps around the castle are very steep and a certain level of fitness is required to see everything. Dungeon is quite scary...
Not realising they were at the same location we stumbled upon both the archeological museum whilst actually looking for Bodrum Castle. The two attractions can therefore be seen in one visit. The entrance price of TL20 per head includes entrance to both and represents good value. There is a great deal to see so allow plenty of time for the...
