This (covered) food market is on in Bodrum every Friday - by the bus station. When you enter, you are taken aback by the amount of food stalls and wonderful fragrances. The fruits and vegs are so vibrant in colours and distinctive in taste too!. There are also a lot of fresh olives and cheese stalls and the dry fruits... More

This market is a traditional farmers market to Us Brits, it's an interesting place to visit and take pictures of there culture. The toilet facilities leave a lot to be desired, personally I would find a near by restaurants and say well clear of the market toilets. There not a lot to buy from this market unless your looking for... More

Visited here a few years back. The whole place was teeming with people and was extremely hot so be sure to bring a bottle of water! Everything from souvenirs to handbags to spices and knockoff "designer" pieces on sale. Remember to never pay what they ask...practise your haggling skills before you go here!

Went here in 2007 seems like many moons ago and the place was mobbed with people so the earlier you get here the better. Just a quick note - always double check what you've bought - they tried to scam me by giving me a different thing to what I had ordered

I came to this specific market in 2010, 2011 and last year, with family. It was very busy but it was a really nice thing to do. I manged to buy three handbags and souvenirs for relatives and friends. I went about mid day which was too hot so go either early morning or night which I did once.

This was a good market and a lot to see. The sellers has a lot to offer as always at the markets in Turkey. You can see clothes, toys, nuts, spices etc and it is cheap. Dont forget to bargain

Visited the market, and all I can say is visit this first thing in the morning before it gets too busy, by 11am it was heaving! Got one or two bargains, loads of lovely stuff, a shoppers paradise, every conceivable handbag etc is there.

What an amazing amount of "genuine fake designer " We couldn`t believe the quality of some of the stuff ( some rubbish too!). Great for bags ,purses and men`s T. shirts. The stall holders mainly accepted us haggling to about half their asking price. Very busy, but well worth a visit it was a fantastic experience.

When you get off the bus from your resort to Bodrum City, the market is literally located right next to the bus station (where all buses terminates) If you're looking for all the fake clothes, bags etc it's on Tuesdays, for food it's on Fridays. We went on a Tuesday cos we wanted to take home a few fake clothes... More
