We had a lovely day out in Yalikavak, we were taken there by our friend Ann, a Scot who has lived in Budrum/Gumbet for over 20 years now, so she was a great guide. She introduced us to the council run cafe/ bar near the marina which is very reasonable and did the best toasties! You had to pay to... More

If you are fed up with Bodrum take a local dolmus and go to Yalikavak to see the sunset and boat watch. The marina has expensive designers shops and restaurants to eat. Small version of Monte Carlo marina

We took a boat trip to the market as everyone said it was a must do. It is very much rip off city! If you want Turkish Hugo boss goods or any named product at knock down prices, then you will be in your element. If you don't want to be hassled to buy everyone's goods and looking for a... More

Squeeze yourself onto a Dolmus from Bodrum and visit this pretty town and marina for a day. Lots of lovely handicraft shops, which are cheaper than those in bigger towns. Some nice restaurants next to the water at very good prices.

Myself and my family had a day trip planned and it didn't disappoint. The day was beautiful (as is to be expected in August) the man who brought us on the trip had perfect English and told us some tales about different boats. I really enjoyed they trip, got to see some beautiful yachts and explore some parts of Bodrum.

Good shops, good choice of cafes and restaurants. AN excellent supermarket that sells UK/ US/European items. And you get to gaze covetously at the mega yachts for free : )

For the first time in my life I was in the Yalikavak 20 minutes ,2 miles from bodrum city. As I found a nice place as I saw in France . You can see at the same time sea and the hills .you drive your car across the mountain with fantastic view that ended with the sea. There are many... More

If you want to see big yatchs and be amongst the rich and famous this is the place to go. Loads of designer shops, coffee shops and bars to sit around in. New buildings are slick and chic but I personally prefer the old habour and the old prices. If you are looking for more realistic spending, the old habour... More

Port Bodrum Yalikavak has a busy center, especially on Thursdays which is the market day (the day we were coincidentally there). We didn’t go to the beaches - there were two blue flag beaches – as we were passing by. There are also many good restaurants. At least they seemed nice, but as said before being pressed by time we...
