In the EXTREMELY hot 🔥 afternoons I used to go in there and just lie on the floor :D Inside it was really cool and I was spending a lot of time there even though I'm not Muslim. The sad thing is that you can't go on the 2nd and 3rd floor... they are only for women :/

An absolutely stunning mosque, inside and out! The internal architecture is amazing. The size of the chandelier inside is unbelievable. Make sure you head upstairs to the second and third floors to get different views of the inside. The stained glass windows are stunning. Well worth a visit!

Just a concrete imitation of the mosques of Mimar Sinan from 1500s. Huge but nothing else. If you had seen any Sinan's mosques in İstanbul, no need to spend time for this increative imitation.

Very big mosque resembling Ottoman era mosques. Beautiful jars inside the mosque. New technology has been used to help people like disabled and seniors (elevators, etc) .

It's somehow nicer than most of the Istanbul mosques for me. A new mosque with an old style. The chandelier and ceiling is just wow.

It is a nice place to visit. You can easily walk to this beautiful mosque from ataturk bulvar and kizilay sq. The mosque itself is on a hill you can go inside the mosque and enjoy the big beautiful building.

Kocatepe is one of my favourite mosques and I have seen quite a few while living in Turkey. It is very beautiful, yet settled in it's embellishments. It has been my "feel good" place all the time I spent in Ankara, even though I'm not Muslim. It is open all the time. Google the prayer times, and go there between... More

I always felt that peaceful atmosphere when I visit it. .Kocatepe is the biggest mosquein Ankara.More than 10,000 people can pray at the same time in and surround of it. Absolutely should be visited for the visitors of Ankara.
