I went here around 11PM so there was just a few people inside. The guard kindly ask me to take off the shoes before going in. The inside was very spacious and beautiful. Very peaceful inside.

I first passed by it during the day and it seem like normal mosque only the size was huge. but during the night with all the lighting it was just seem like a part of earth's heaven. I suggest visiting during the night. But wait till after the prayer time.

Apparently not the most famous mosque in Ankara as several people expressed surprise that we wanted to go there. It is not swarming with tourists and thus it offers a more peaceful visit. Beautiful but not overwhelming details and it is allowed to take pictures.

I come from Iran, where in historical cities and sites are full of stunning mosques and jaw dropping art on the walls and ceiling. So I couldn't say I am impressed by the building itself. But I have to say I was so touched by the open minded people who accept you in th

Main lighting is impressive. Huge lighting ball seems to be like solar system. The mosque looks great in a evening when you can see it in back lights.

In the EXTREMELY hot 🔥 afternoons I used to go in there and just lie on the floor :D Inside it was really cool and I was spending a lot of time there even though I'm not Muslim. The sad thing is that you can't go on the 2nd and 3rd floor... they are only for women :/

An absolutely stunning mosque, inside and out! The internal architecture is amazing. The size of the chandelier inside is unbelievable. Make sure you head upstairs to the second and third floors to get different views of the inside. The stained glass windows are stunning. Well worth a visit!
