Major changes in campus traffic schemes since the 1990s, but impressively managed to reduce traffic jams and provide a constantly pleasant experience for those who jog, cycle, and walk around the academic oval at any day/time of the week. Academic Oval now runs on a one-way traffic flow with ~1/3 of the main road exclusively devoted to pedestrians and cyclists.... More

Not like the the vast majority of the Philippines, UP-Diliman is clean, smart, efficient, intellectual, upbeat, peaceful, and quiet (except for occasional parties and giggling undergraduate co-eds.... enjoy!

Mamang Sorbeteros are eveywhere. Sarap ng ice cream nila. We even had took time to read the markings of some departed students at some certain point.... More

We were onlly able to look at the university from outside the gates because they require that you wear pants inside the grounds, which we were not. So please if you plan to go here make sure you wear pants and don't make the same mistake we did.

Went here with friends for an evening jog and it's very refreshing. It's peaceful and serene. The oval is usually closed during weekends. It is also safe because there are guards roaming regularly.

The University of the Philippines' Diliman campus is definitely the place to jog or run (or even bike) on a weekend. It has declared off-limits to motor vehicles a big portion of its main circumferential road and dedicated this portion to walkers, joggers, runners, bikers, etc. Small wonder then that people of all ages, types, gender and nationalities can be... I love the greenery inside UP and its closeness to the students. The place doesn't just portray beauty but also the beauty is touchable, usable. Some buildings wear off already and not properly taken care of, seemingly abandoned, which is a pity. Authenticity can still be felt in this campus. I love its so-called shopping complex that has cheap photocopy,... More

It is the National University. Philippine presidents Marcos, Macapagal, Laurel, Arroyo, and Quirino, plus Prime Minister Virata. It has a good law library and the Vargas museum. Some schools are well kept but others need attention from the government and private donors. Tycoon Manny Pangilinan of Smart recently pledged several million pesos for the university upon prodding of his key... More
