It is outside Manila. An old church is on site. One can see water buffaloes. The history of the Philippines is in a way presented through dances. An easy and rewarding day trip away from the crowds and air pollution of Manila.

If you look for quiet and serene, this is the place for you. It is a self-contained Hacienda Resort which produces most of what they consume. If i have heard it right, one of the very first Hacienda Resorts in the world. Used to be the coconut plantation of the Escuderos and now transformed into this quaint resort. Definitely worth... This place is worth visiting if you are in the Philippines and particularly if you are a Filipino! Although this is a private property, the whole place is considered one of the ideal places that promotes good introduction to Philippine culture. It is just two hours drive from Manila. A day tour is enough unless you want an overnight experience... More

My mate and i found this place on the internet one day several months ago when looking for things to do, and places to eat, on our planned trip to the Philippines. We were taken by the uniqueness of having lunch here, so we made plans to visit Villa Escudero whilst in Manila. Prior to leaving Australia, i emailed VE... More

Came here for a quick visit and it was a nice place. The plantation us huge. We first took a caribou ride to the waterfall where you are going to have lunch. I actually felt bad for the caribou that was pulling the cart with all of us on it. For this reason we didn't take it back. You eat... More

Villa Escudero, contained within a beautiful compound, offers the visitor a small museum, lush gardens, traditional accommodations, a waterfall and a Filipino restaurant. On certain evenings, expect to be entertained with live traditional Filipino songs and local dances. It's a wonderful and refreshing respite within the busy city.

this place is unique. You get to experience a ride in a carabao-drawn carriage with a señorita singing Filipino folk songs along the way. There is also a museum for the antique collections of the Escudero family, the owner of the hacienda. The highlight of the place is the man-made falls from a natural river where you can eat lunch...
