Nothing but a place for teens and kids, no nice atmosphere! The restaurants along the bay are all just expensive tourist-traps! Sunset behind a big wall is not really nice, so dont go there...

Had never been before in the Philippines and just loved the feeling of bustling Manila! Have to see!

One of the nicer parts of Manila, though that is like saying chlamydia is one of the nicer STD's. It's noisy and the food on offer at the many restaurants there is bland and overpriced. A plus seems to be there are less street hustlers/peddlers there and it feels reasonably safe.

At least there is a breeze here. With such a high population living near the shore, it is polluted. It is not really a tourist attraction, it happens to be there. Mall of Asia has a boulevard beside it and is quite pleasant to walk along

It used to be quite nice 4 years ago but in 2014. As i passed by that area, more and more homeless people are making it their home. It smells like pee everywhere. The ocean smells like all kind of trash and crap you could think of. It was raining when I was riding in cab towards the airport and... More

2013 - Took a walk down to the bay from the hotel (Ermita area). Didn't take long before a local "befriended" me, ultimately, seeking cash...as I had already realized. He walked away unhappy, but his attempts to get money from me were actually very rude by Western standards. Typical Manila. Homeless, People hustling, etc. Overall, not a great experience. Really... Manila Bay is very much an industrial port with a few fishing vessels and the collection point for manila evening cruises. It needs some improvement and renovation but the restaurants along the oppoite side of the road are varied and offer some great dishes, particularly Filipino ones and fresh seafood. A few stalls are scattered along the bay side and... More

Just over an hour ferry boat ride from Manila is Corregidor, the most well preserved battlefield of WWII. This silent bastion of history should be visited by all, not just those interested in military history. With Corregidor and Bataan, you will find no better example of the brotherhood felt by the military of both the Philippines and America. The ferry... More

Clean, not crowded. This is a very good place to chill out. Sit around, look at the see. Grab a bite to eat. This is a great place to generally hang out and have a nice evening.
