My wife & I enjoyed the Manila zoo greatly. We held crocodiles (babies of course) and petted the ostriches walking around. Grateful that they were very obedient around the tourists as they were very tall!. It was a beautiful day with friendly zoo attendants all around to assist. Good pavements for strollers & wheelchairs alike. A perfect outing definitely for... More

Animals are treated very well here, there is a very sad looking lone elephant in a small non interactive environment, there are some opportunities to get photos with snakes, small crocodiles, many birds etc and have touts try and extort you for as much money as they possibly can, they print the photos out so you can get them pretty... The poor lion in a mere cage . Ostriches missing most of their feathers . Confined birds showing signs of stress and vomiting . Scavenger birds harassing exhibits and stealing their food . Most exhibits run down lacking foilage . Forest dwelling elephant exposed to full sun . A veterinarian's nightmare . Down right cruel

Being there again is so nostalgic. Reminds of the good old days when I was just a kid, a kid that loves animals. Even though there are lesser animals that place can still impress the crowd.. or kids that is. That big humongous crock is there, and together with their monkeys its still an interesting place. Kudos for adding a... More

It is dirty. The animals are sad looking. This facility needs to be closed. I do not know how much begging people need to do. If you go you are adding to the problem.

The conditions for the animals are horrendous, we watched helplessly as a rabbit (obviously cramped, ill and stressed) ate it's baby who was actually quite old - maybe 2-4 weeks old. This is a very good example of how tortured the animals are, they would rather kill their own offspring than have it grow up in conditions where they're deprived... More

after reading reviews i had very low expectation of the place. I imagined it to be very old with foul smell and poorly maintained zoo. Yes there are rooms for improvement but it definitely exceeded my expectations, we celebrated my son's 3rd birthday and the smiles on our faces spells we had fun.
