Being there again is so nostalgic. Reminds of the good old days when I was just a kid, a kid that loves animals. Even though there are lesser animals that place can still impress the crowd.. or kids that is. That big humongous crock is there, and together with their monkeys its still an interesting place. Kudos for adding a... More

It is dirty. The animals are sad looking. This facility needs to be closed. I do not know how much begging people need to do. If you go you are adding to the problem.

The conditions for the animals are horrendous, we watched helplessly as a rabbit (obviously cramped, ill and stressed) ate it's baby who was actually quite old - maybe 2-4 weeks old. This is a very good example of how tortured the animals are, they would rather kill their own offspring than have it grow up in conditions where they're deprived... More

after reading reviews i had very low expectation of the place. I imagined it to be very old with foul smell and poorly maintained zoo. Yes there are rooms for improvement but it definitely exceeded my expectations, we celebrated my son's 3rd birthday and the smiles on our faces spells we had fun.

very sad conditions for all animals here, The elephant at this zoo is very heartbreaking, she has lived alone her whole life, elephants are not solitary animals anymore than we are, i am asking this zoo to do right by this elephant and give her to a sanctuary in Thailand or Sri Lanka, please let her retire now, and spend... i went back to manila zoo 20 years after i last visited. it has improved but the sorry state of Mali the elephant has made me think of how we treat our animals the most humane way possible. but my kid could not care less for as long as he's seeing a wild animal right upfront, manila zoo is still... It's just a sad, sad zoo. I hope they improve the quality of this place as many people are going here.

I Have beento Manila many times over the years and never realized they had a zoo, it was only as I passed in taxi did I see the entrance. So on my way back to hotel decided to stop by. I have visited zoos throughout the world, and the Philippines and have always found Philippine zoos to be depressing for... More

It was my first visit with my family last 18 June 2015 after 7 years, personally the zoo was not like the way it was before. Mali was old, there was no giraffe, no orangutan, no gorilla and the animals was not that very fun for young children anymore. For first timers who was not familiar with some of the... More
