We went to Manila Zoo last November 29, our expectations to that place is quite low, but when we arrived, it is not really that bad. The place is clean, various animals can be seen such as an elephant, tigers, crocodiles (plenty of them), monkeys, lions, a hippotamus, ostrich, snakes, and various kinds of birds. The place has unpleasant smell... More

the zoo should be transferred. The area is so polluted that you will find yourself pitying the animals that live there. They change some structures of the zoo to make it more appealing to guests but the smell is really annoying.

I visited the Zoo and unfortunately these animals seems not to be treated properly. There were 3 snake handlers just picking up the snakes, taking photos of them with their iPhones, laughing not taking things seriously, above all with no safety attire, wearing thongs. The cages for some of these animals are too small and does not give them enough... More

They had a good selection of different animals, inclding an elephant, snake and reptile house, a lion, tigers crocodiles and many types of birds. The place was very cheap, only 100 piso each. But I can't help but feel a little sorry for the animals. Most of the enclosures were fairly small, especially the lion cage. Also, the elephant was... More

Childhood trips to this place was wonderful. You get to see lots of animals, you can feed the giraffe, etc. It was still OK, I guess, I was disappointed with the entrance fee hike (although minimal) because I was expecting a few improvements from the management. Well, let me list it down for you... The only "interactive" bit was the... More

The zoo have seen better days. There's a very limited number and variety of animals. and in most cases, the animals are in tight small cages. no effort in mirroring the natural habitat of the specie.

Yearsss ago, during my childhood days I would always dream of getting there as it was like a dream for every child to visit Manila Zoo. When we were younger, a visit to Manila won't be complete without visiting this place. I came back almost two decades later with my own children, as I still instill that no visit is... More

The place is great, and I've been here since I was a little child. The place needs high maintenance and Mali the elephant should be put to a sanctuary. She is very lonely and sick... She is my favorite animal in the zoo so I think she needs to rest (not in peace) now...
