The zoo have seen better days. There's a very limited number and variety of animals. and in most cases, the animals are in tight small cages. no effort in mirroring the natural habitat of the specie.

Yearsss ago, during my childhood days I would always dream of getting there as it was like a dream for every child to visit Manila Zoo. When we were younger, a visit to Manila won't be complete without visiting this place. I came back almost two decades later with my own children, as I still instill that no visit is... More

The people in charge of running the zoo ought to be ashamed of themselves. The zoo is a lesson and spectacle on how not to treat animals. Mali the elephant has been in captivity under unacceptable conditions. It simply is abuse. No living being should be forced to spend their entire life alone without the companionship of their own kind.... More

The place is great, and I've been here since I was a little child. The place needs high maintenance and Mali the elephant should be put to a sanctuary. She is very lonely and sick... She is my favorite animal in the zoo so I think she needs to rest (not in peace) now...

It is not huge, but if you go on the right day, you can view all the animals practically by yourself. The price of admission is only 100 pesos. However there is a children's activity area with a petting zoo and photo taking places that would require additional costs once you are inside the main entrance. There are a lot... More

I am asking that the Manila zoo give Mali a BETTER, more appropriate home with other elephants! As a zoo, they do not provide the very basic of needs for an elephant.

This zoo should be closed down, the animals look miserable, Mali the elephant is in confinement and it brought tears to my eyes seeing such a sad animal. Boycott the zoo and set them free! Mali holds her own tail because she is so lonely... Do not go.
