Run down and unkempt

This zoo has a lot of potential if it was properly maintained and kept clean. Many of the exhibits were empty.

Apart from the hustlers / photographers trying to sell photo ops with their various animals, I did not actually see any member of staff I could describe as a zookeeper. The locals were enjoying taking selfies with the plastic giraffe and plastic elephant. There was no real giraffe, but there was one rather depressed looking elephant. An ostrich with no... More

Been and out of Manila from time to time for work, shopping and meet ups, but when was the last time you have been to Manila Zoo? The last time I went to this famous zoo was when I was in 4th grade, just because it's part of our tour. More than a decade, I had the luxury of time... More

Despite of all the bad reviews I read about the place, we pay a visit . It might be an old zoo and need a lot of maintenance, but it still serves the main purpose of its place.. to educate kids about animals. If you want your kids to experience a close encounter with animals, visit the kinder zoo located... More

Kids & toddlers love the zoo. Great place to bring them. Show them the animals. Specially the elephant. Kids can't tell the animals are in a state of total neglect. Poorly fed. The place is dirty at best. They make you pay to use their filthy restrooms.

It's nice to bring kids here. They will see real animals and would easily learn the physical apperance of an animal by seeing it in person rather than virtual. The dow side is that these animals are supposed to be in the wild but rather kept in a zoo for whatever reason it may be.

This zoo has an impressive roster of residents however it is lacking in total appeal and maintenance.
