Some geologists theorize that Corregidor was once part of a huge volcano that erupted on one side and gradually eroded to become partly invisible beneath the sea. It is called "The Rock" because it served as the major bastion of Philippine's Allies during World War II. « less

First off, let me just say that you will completely enjoy Corregidor if you are interested in history. A lot of people on the same tour as I was were just there to take photos and enjoy the view. If this is your main purpose of visiting the island, then yes, you will be able take great photos. But much... More

Go on a tour showing all the WWII historical sites. Shows how Manila was a center of attention during this war. You can even stay overnight on the island. Accommodation and food ok but worth it because you get to experience the island without the crowds. The hotel has a pool as well. It is a shame though that only... More

Been here twice now, nice to get out of Manila. The lunch is a bit ordinary for my liking but all the history is interesting. After visiting here & seeing some of the tunnels I read 'We Band of Angels' - Elizabeth Norman, made it even more interesting. Bring a hat & sunscreen, it can be a hot day.

A truly memorable and historical experience. The tour guides are wonderful and really know the history of the island and what transpired during those dark days of WWII. The Malinta Tunnel Lights and Sounds Show should not be missed.

Corregidor Island is the last stand during WWII's Japanese occupation of the Philippines. The friendship bond of Americans and Filipinos are elevated to the highest levels as they fight, die and live through history. The tour guides in the island is well organized and will give you blow by blow account of what happened during the battle of Corregidor.. Have... More

i've always wanted to see corregidor but a lot of people would tell me there is nothing to see out there. But as i am very much interested in that war period, i took the chance and took the quite expensive overnight stay in the island. The tour was very nice and fun with the guides being so knowledgable about... More

Going there is easy. One just has to book with Sun Cruises and that already includes the one hour and a half ferry to Corregidor and the day tour, with a choice to upgrade to an overnight stay. The ferry leaves early in the morning but there is ample parking space at the back of Folk Arts theatre where the... More

I've solo traveled to Corregidor Islands year 2012 and man it was so beautiful. Right then I decided that I should travel more often. This year I had a chance to be there again for an event that I need to cover for a report. Of course, we rode the Sun Cruises to get there. Upon arriving, I felt the... More

You just see this place the tour is great, the tour guides fun and well informed. I was awestruck for the entire time. To see such devastation inflicted on the site was an eye opener
