Some geologists theorize that Corregidor was once part of a huge volcano that erupted on one side and gradually eroded to become partly invisible beneath the sea. It is called "The Rock" because it served as the major bastion of Philippine's Allies during World War II. « less

In honor of all the unsung heroes that helped shaped our history, it has been my advocacy to bring new batches of colleagues annually to historic places like Bataan, lining the streets are one can see the Death March markers. In order to maximize our two days off, our itinerary includes : first stop - Mt. Samat Shrine, where the war... More

I thought the tour could be improved in someways.what I loved was the history behind the struggle ,as we hear that freedom is not free.

We went there in 1999 and I've been wanting to go back there again ever since. For a history nut who read about every battle of WWII this trip was a dream come true. A lot of Filipino and American blood spilled on this lonely outpost, but not in vain. Many Japanese soldiers also died there. They're letting the jungle... More

Going to Corregidor is like visiting history itself. It was one of the places with a lot of bloodshed, cries and um... stories filled with gore. Printed as one of the places with action during the world war, a lot of japanese and Filipino soldiers died here. You will begin with a boat ride to the island. Then a toured... More

the ocean front is full of trash. The hotel and the jeepney or bus around the island is informative and interesting. I took a fishing boat out there and was lucky to catch a ferry boat back to manila. Book a fishing boat both ways or book the ferry boat.

Really enjoyed this last minute tour idea. It was really interesting to hear about life on the Island for the Allied troops as well as for the local Filipino's during the start of the war and during the following occupation. Lunch was just OK, but don't go on this tour for lunch, go on it for the good history, the... More

I booked onto a tour with Sun Cruises which departed promptly in the morning. The crossing was fairly bumpy but not too bad. The boat has toilets and a small shop. Upon arrival we boarded our allocated 'buses' and tour guide who stayed with us for the day. The guide was hard to understand at times but had plenty of... More

We booked the island tour thru Filipino Travel and could not have been more pleased. Their driver (Carlos) was most professional, knowledgeable, good driver and full of local and historic information. After touring the island, my girlfriend and I wished we would have stayed on the island overnite and rented the ATVs. Our island tour guide spoke good english and... More

We were told that this was a must-see tour, so we were excited. Unfortunately I feel a bit let down, but there was some redemption. The ferry ride to the island left late, and wasn't that pleasent. Loud Jackie Chan movies and Kareoke aren't what I figured history buffs where after, but who knows. Upon arrival, we were segregated to... More

My husband and I included Corregidor Island in our 2-week stay in the Philippines as part of our 1-month Asia mini tour. It was my first time visiting his homeland and I was so please with this tour as I learnt so much more about his country's history and culture. We did the tour package where you are taken around...
