Some geologists theorize that Corregidor was once part of a huge volcano that erupted on one side and gradually eroded to become partly invisible beneath the sea. It is called "The Rock" because it served as the major bastion of Philippine's Allies during World War II. « less

A truly memorable and historical experience. The tour guides are wonderful and really know the history of the island and what transpired during those dark days of WWII. The Malinta Tunnel Lights and Sounds Show should not be missed.

Corregidor Island is the last stand during WWII's Japanese occupation of the Philippines. The friendship bond of Americans and Filipinos are elevated to the highest levels as they fight, die and live through history. The tour guides in the island is well organized and will give you blow by blow account of what happened during the battle of Corregidor.. Have... More

i've always wanted to see corregidor but a lot of people would tell me there is nothing to see out there. But as i am very much interested in that war period, i took the chance and took the quite expensive overnight stay in the island. The tour was very nice and fun with the guides being so knowledgable about... More

Going there is easy. One just has to book with Sun Cruises and that already includes the one hour and a half ferry to Corregidor and the day tour, with a choice to upgrade to an overnight stay. The ferry leaves early in the morning but there is ample parking space at the back of Folk Arts theatre where the... More

I've solo traveled to Corregidor Islands year 2012 and man it was so beautiful. Right then I decided that I should travel more often. This year I had a chance to be there again for an event that I need to cover for a report. Of course, we rode the Sun Cruises to get there. Upon arriving, I felt the... More

You just see this place the tour is great, the tour guides fun and well informed. I was awestruck for the entire time. To see such devastation inflicted on the site was an eye opener

The tour during the day was ok..hubby and I felt that everything was being rushed because those who are on day tour needed to be back on the ferry boat going to manila by 2pm..the best thing about the tour in our opinion would be the hospital tour in the afternoon, sunset viewing, and and the night tour of the... If only for the sunset at Battery Grubbs and the unforgettable night tour of the Lateral Tunnels at Malinta, this trip was worth its price.

A reminder of the sacrifices that our veterans have endured. Some buildings are still there but really just ruins of the war that nobody wanted.

A great day away from the city. And as a history buff, time well spent learning about World War II and the role the Philippines played in the conflict. While certainly not ancient, you actually see US "ruins" as the island was bombed thoroughly in two separate conflicts. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, though I'm sure not...
