I didn't see it on our first visit. My boyfriend did, though... I don't know what I was expecting but definitely not something so small. Or the buildings around are too high? But apparently it marks the centre of town so use it as a landmark when asking for directions.

nice but not to compare with some from England. It stays a bit lost there. So if you have a car you need to drive close to it.

I was told it a mini replica of London’s Big Ben tower and it marks the center point of the town. But honestly, I am surprised that this is even an attraction in Seychelles. Not much to see or write about since it’s just a clock in the middle of the road.

The clock marks the centre of Victoria. If you are lost, just ask the way to the clock; all roads lead here. It has historical significance too.

The Clock Tower in Victoria, a miniature of the Big Ben in London is a landmark stature left from the colonial time. Located in the center of town, the clock is being over-shadowed by the taller buildings around it. However it is still a site worth taking notice of when passing through the town. Since the town has limited parking... More

What a sight! It truly reminds you of Big Ben but the setting of Seychelles make everything breathtaking! The beaches and the hill tops are a beautiful sight!

the famous copy of Big Ben is a real disappointment... very small, white, in the middle of a round about as small as the clock. Nothing interesting

In recognition of Queen Victoria's reign in 1900 it was planned to raise R10,000 to build a community centre in her memory. Unfortunately they only raised R3,223.81 so, in 1903, the miniature, cast iron, silver painted "Big Ben" is what they ended up with instead. Considering the tropical climate, they have done well to preserve an iron construction in such... More

Clock tower is the centre of Mahe, of Seychelles and...maybe...of the Indian Ocean.... Take a picture, commemorate your visit and you will remember it forever:)

Really an interesting thing to see, gotta get your own picture of it. But, it's in the middle of the road. It's iconic for Victoria but wish you could safely walk up and stand next to it. How many miniatures of Big Ben are there?
