Good to be here

Visiting Malé and pass by the Mulee Aage really feel good. Didn't visit inside hoping next visit can be done ☺

This review is quite late. It was pitched black by the time out boat reached Male City. After a short walk from the pier we stumbled upon a small park where a tall flagpole stands. At the end of the pole the huge flag of Maldives flys proudly up in the air.

Good only as part of the walk around tour in Male. It was a former Palace. Grand to look from outside but nothing much actually.

This cannot be entered but there is a good view of the outside from the main gate. It is right opposite the old mosque, so it is worth taking a look. Do read the history of this quickly on wikipedia or one of th guide books as it does have an interesting old and recent history.....its been used for many... More

The Mulee Aage or the Presidential Palace is located next to the Old Friday Mosque. From the street the palace looked like any well-built residential house with strong wall around the place. Since we could not enter the premises, we could only viewed the generous entrance with nice manicured garden in front of the place. We gave up entering the... More

We were shown the Presidential Palace whilst on our walking tour of Male. It is located about half way between the jetty and the fish markets. The first thing that grabs you are the high walls and all the security cameras. Fortunately, there is a spot where you can photograph the quaint little Presidential Palace. The gardens are really lovely... More

Muleeaage was built as the palace for the local sultan in the early 20th century. It has had somewhat of a checkered past being used a general government offices, the actual residence of the president for 40 years up to 1994 then again after 2009. The imposing wall that circles the property takes away most of the views of the... More

Mulee Aaage is located opposite the presidential jetty and it makes for a nice evening stroll with the breeze blowing. We were there on a Friday evening and since Friday is a holiday in Maldives, all the locals along with their families were out. Male is such a small island that even the presidential palace does not seem very big... More
