We were heading towards KL bird park and saw this place on the way. Free entry and virtually empty except for a group of very young cadets from Malaysia. The museum attendant must have been bored as he decided to give us a guided tour himself, while the cadets were simply interested in us as English tourists. Fascinating museum and... More

Free entrance so can't go wrong! Friendly staff and good lay out and is very informative. Learnt a lot about recent Malaysian history, including the emergency, and they even have a couple of tanks and a big boat outside! Considering it's free and close to the other attractions (national mosque, Islamic arts centre, national museum and planetarium) might as well... More

To get there you can hop into the KL-Hop-On bas at jalan parliment. the Muzium was built by Superintendent, Gerry Waller with the help of several other officers in 1958. it was a wooden building at that time. In 1997 a new building was built to replace the old building. They are made up of 3 galleries. Gallery A. In... More

Small museum, not very interesting at all. On the bright side, its very quiet, parking is not a problem and is near (walking distance) the cience museum, the islamic arts museum and the Malaysian space agency.

Visited the museum and have to say it is very well presented and maintained and easy to follow. The displays were one of the best I have seen and better than the London tower displays of their military units and far superior to the Scottish and Victorian (Australia) police museums. The officers on duty were friendly and helpful. I would... More

Nice if you're interested in police history. Free entrance. Located a little bit outside the city, you can go to the museum with a touristbus free of chargé.

This was a great museum to distract the kids from the rigours of touring, and the whole family enjoyed it. It looks new and everything is beautifully curated. Staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful. A little off the beaten path (the climb up the hill while holding a toddler is rough!) but they enjoyed it,

We stumbled upon the Police Museum after visiting the Butterfly Park and it was a very pleasant surprise. Beside from the fact it is free entry and has air-con, it was educational in a very visual and interesting way. There are different police uniforms from across the decades, including different colonial uniforms, models of vehicles and a room of weapons... More

what we love about KL is that the more you look the more you find- even without any interest in police history as such this museum captures the history of the country - extremely worthwhile
