We popped in here to fill the time before our bus was due and spent much longer than intended. Not only mass plantings of exuberant orchids but many other large flowering species such as hibiscus, and an attracrtive pond and fountain with a view beyond of the Petronas and KL towers. The kiosk quoted a nominal charge but was unmanned... More

Going to Taman Orkid is a treat from the busy life in KL. I walked from the LRT Station Pasar Seni over the the train station and then up into the park area (Butterfly Park, Bird, Park, etc) - ca. 20 min. The parks are not overwhelming but give you a break from busy city life. The orchid garden is... More

The two parks are on opposite sides of the city and are opposites in attraction. The City Park was well tended and easy to get around with only one series of steps. Displays were well set out but a few labels were missing. Which was not a serious issue for us. Well worth the time taken to walk to the... More

As a garden, it's FREE. So you get what you pay for. Serious gardeners and horticulturalists will be greatly frustrated by the almost complete absence of labeling and educational signage. Is that pretty flower some incredibly rare endemic to the highlands? Or is it basically just a very attractive tropical weed that grows anywhere? Many of the plants are housed... More

After the orchid garden in Singapore this one is so poor. If u wanna visit there go before singapore :) But if you want to buy some Vanda seedlings here is the place for it, they are really cheap.

I visited the Orchid Park on a recent trip to KL - this was after I had just been in Singapore. In comparison, this place has nothing on the National Orchid Garden - so if you are going to enjoy an orchid patch, definitely Singapore over KL. Having said this, it was a peaceful and relaxing area located just opposite... More

Opposite to KL Bird park, and free to visit, its one of the favorites. If you are a flower and plant lover, you will lose yourself. Appealing and well maintained. :)

The Orchid Park is a small establishment, however it is riddled with fans and beyond the beauty and serenity of the surroundings, you also get a bit of a breeze in certain spots—a very welcome addition for people not used to the equatorial climate of Kuala Lumpur.
