The orchid garden was easy to get to and free to enter (we were there on a Sunday). There were lots of interesting orchid species to look at and it was a nice place to walk round. It didn't take us very long though. If you are specifically interested in orchids you will probably want to spend longer there but... More

Don't make a special trip just to see it, but include it with your visit to the Bird Park (across the street) or the big park as a whole. Meticulously maintained and nice. No educational info, just a garden. No food available but bathrooms yes (20 cents).

Nice park just opposite of birds park. Walk around if you are there, but not worth to go there just because of this park. Nice orchids, tiny and clean park without entrance fee. Interesting to see, how they growing the new orchid plantations. 20 minutes enough to walk around.

Stopped here as we were walking around the park. It is free to enter and there were hundreds of beautiful orchids in bloom. Worth a visit!!

No entrance fee, which is a plus. Nicely laid out, well maintained. However, some stupid people taking up lots of space to do make-up etc. Some people treating this as their place for a photo-shoot - really not something that makes me happy. Nice orchids (and of course there's the hibiscus garden at the back) but unfortunately no labels or... More

We loved the orchid garden- beautifully laid out with many flowers not just orchids and it was free so you can't really complain.

We popped in here to fill the time before our bus was due and spent much longer than intended. Not only mass plantings of exuberant orchids but many other large flowering species such as hibiscus, and an attracrtive pond and fountain with a view beyond of the Petronas and KL towers. The kiosk quoted a nominal charge but was unmanned... More

Going to Taman Orkid is a treat from the busy life in KL. I walked from the LRT Station Pasar Seni over the the train station and then up into the park area (Butterfly Park, Bird, Park, etc) - ca. 20 min. The parks are not overwhelming but give you a break from busy city life. The orchid garden is... More

The two parks are on opposite sides of the city and are opposites in attraction. The City Park was well tended and easy to get around with only one series of steps. Displays were well set out but a few labels were missing. Which was not a serious issue for us. Well worth the time taken to walk to the... More

As a garden, it's FREE. So you get what you pay for. Serious gardeners and horticulturalists will be greatly frustrated by the almost complete absence of labeling and educational signage. Is that pretty flower some incredibly rare endemic to the highlands? Or is it basically just a very attractive tropical weed that grows anywhere? Many of the plants are housed... More
