Not for anybody with a keen interest in science. More of a playground than a science centre. Not conveniently located, far out of centre.

Even though the admission charges are somewhat reasonable i.e. RM 6 for adult and RM 3 for child (6-12 years old), the place is quite run down and almost half of the exhibits are not functioning. Some of these non functioning exhibits did not even have a 'not working' sign, it can be frustrating at times when kids tried on... More

I took my three children aged 8, 7 and 5 to the National Science Centre on a weekday and we had a lovely time. The children really engaged with several exhibits and we explored for hours until hunger pangs started! The food selection didn't appeal to us and we were disappointed to find the water play area 'under maintenance'. However,... More

I wouldn't take my child here. There were a lot of broken exhibits/ machines. When you enter there are sharks and big fish on am aquarium over your head. I thought this was the National Science Centre, not an aquarium. The building is old, the exhibits are old and dirty and broken. Do not bother with the science of fear,... More

Our 2nd time to National Science Center as they were under reno when we were there the first time. We were impressed as there is a huge aquarium at the entrance and a mini pool for you to touch the small fishes as well......Lot of exhibits and information provided on the ground floor but also some which is under maintenance.... This museum is a little way(15km) out of the centre of KL and is very easily accesible. A very attractive looking buildng set in some nice gardens/grounds. Those are the plus points - otherwise, in my viuew, it is poorly organised and poorly maintained. Petrosians at KLCC is much much better

The design of the building was beautiful both from internal to the external. Lots of items for kids to have fun such as the playground and water pool. However half of the equipment and science tools are not well maintained and out of function. I just feel bad to see the initial investment of millions are not being kept up... More

This place has always been an attraction from my little girl, we have been coming here for years, during our annual pilgrimage to Malaysia. She really enjoys viewing and playing with the exhibits (even though, like all science centers, like the Exploratorium in SF and the Cabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, there will always be exhibits that need... I went with my two teens (13&15) and enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of hands on exhibits to keep their attention and curiosity, but most displays are tired and faded. By the end of your tour it becomes apparent that many displays are temporarily closed for 'maintenance'. Still...... Great value for the admission price, and I got my teens away from their... More

About one third of the exhibits are broken so don't expect too much from this. The other two thirds are ok. The kids thought the play area and kids rides were good. They did however have fish in tanks that were clean. There was also free wifi.
