It was an enriching experience to learn about pewter and the different ornaments that can be created from this element/ alloy. The work behind all the beauty is impressive and it's no wonder these pieces of work cost quite a bit.

Nice place to visit. Just 15 minutes ride in a taxi from downtown kuala lumpur. Visitor will be guided through their show gallery, production floor and finally the sales gallery. The guide provided by The Royal Selangor visitor centre speak fluent english and mandarin. School of hard knocks is worth to try.

Callie, our tour made it very passionate that made us feel engaged. Mind you, we don't have any inkling what a pewter nor tin is! So coming out being "baptized" with a different knowledge is really really enriching. What is striking is how our driver-guide (not from Selangor employ), and other driver-guide talks highly of this company and its management.... More

Fascinating to watch the crafts people at work- time consuming for them, but what amazing artefacts for tourists to buy.

The showroom is filled with wonderful for-sale pewter items. Its an elaborate complex and well-presented. The café is very nice and served western-style food. The factory tour was very interesting and informative. The briefing that preceded the workshop (the only part you pay for) was limited and the workshop offered more than it delivered (we chose the casting workshop). It... More

I visited here with my two daughters as part of our recent trip to KL. Our main focus was to see the Batu Caves & this looked like a worthwhile distraction on the way back to our hotel. Pewter was considered a luxury good in the 1970's when I was growing up but had apparently lost its lustre in recent... More
