Arrived just as volunteer docent , Rose , was about to start her tour in English - joining this was one of the best museum experiences I have had - it took around 90 minutes and covered the major features in each gallery - Rose's knowledge and explanations applied to the exhibits gave them a new life and relevance. A must visit place while you are in KL. The museum takes you to all phases of development of KL/Malaysia. Pre colonial/colonial & after ward with modern KL. We simply enjoyed our walk through in national museum. You need to buy a ticket to enter the place. For refreshment, dispensing machines are available beside a small restaurant with fewer options.... First time I visited a museum with modern technology of lights and presentation. KL museum is the best experience to explore their history and to see the real meaning why they maintain their glory. I enjoyed the place and at the end of the museum, you have the privilege to buy souvenirs for your friends.

Interesting if you are already in KL, but don't come to the city just for this. Very quiet and about 3 hrs to read everything. Price is cheap even for large family.

We visited this museum on the city tour arranged via our hotel reception. It is definitely worth the money. You see many of the cities attractions.

To be honest, I can't actually recall too much of my visit to this museum because it was fairly mundane. There was a couple of red cannons in the front with a sign that you could take a photo with and an airplane at front of the entrance. Inside, you learnt a little about the history of Malaysia and its... More

When I was in KL I didn't go to the top of the Petronás Towers, the weather didn't cooperate so I wouldn't have seen much. But I went to the National Museum and had an enjoyable afternoon. Learned a lot about the formation of the Country of Malaysia and I would highly recommend it.
