Very interesring museum. You get the whole history of the country and a big more in just one hour and a half. Perfect on the first day of the holidays as you get the bases for the rest of your stay. We did the visit with one of their guide, very knowledgeable and fun. These guys know so much about... More

Not the most interesting of museums, if you have plenty of time in the city may be worth an hour or so of your time but if time is limited I'd give it a miss. There were a few other couples with us and none of us were very impressed. Set in a nice building. You will have to pay... More

There is a reasonable entrance fee that grants access to the grounds, the main floor & 4 galleries. This was one of the best things we did on our visit to KL. The Museum is laid out historically -tracing the history of Malaysia from the "dinosaur" age up to the modern. Of particular interest to us was the history of... More

Our Malaysian trip, I'd say, was filled with a lot of historical places that we visited. This is another museum that was on the list and it was also interesting to see Malaysian culture by visiting this area. The kind of houses in the olden times with its ornate wood works and gold etchings, pretty impressive.

The exhibits are very informative - and in both English and Malay, which is handy! Cheap entrance fee, and definitely worth visiting to see the history of Malaysia.

The museum depicts the history of Malaysia and its culture. In this museum I was able to appreciate Malaysia's heart and soul through its history.

Located in Jalan Damansara, across the road from the lake gardens, this museum is housed in a building with Minangkabau architecture. A small museum comprising 2 levels, the museum has been in existence since the 1960's. Exhibits tell the story of the country's history from prehistoric times through the colonial era to present. At the back of the museum are... More

This museum traces the history of Malaysia, the Portuguese, Dutch and British times, through to Independence and on to today. It is interesting and items are labelled in several languages. We were interested to note a number of different language guides too. A pleasant small museum suitable for all ages and not too expensive to visit either.

For a national museum, its collection of relics is considered very little, numerous of them are actually replica as mentioned in explanation.
