To learn about history of Malaysia and culture. Spent a few hours with children to educate and learning. No entrance fee. Pleasant visit.

We went here as part of a city tour of KL. It is well worth a visit. It is a small museum packed full of history. You get taken through the ages and see how the Country has come together. Take your time as you go round and interact with the exhibits - there is a great story to be... More

I took the LRT to KL Sentral, and then exited towards Le Meridian. Although, it was a bit confusing which way to go once out of the train station it is an easy walk (about 10 minutes). Turn right and then follow the sidewalk around Le Meridian. From there you'll see signs that guide you to the museum. The museum... More

This museum offers a wide range of artifacts and information covering the history and culture of Malaysia. I was particularly interested in the 20th break from Colonialism and the information about the fight against communism. There are things to see both inside and outside the museum and there is a nice coffee shop with friendly staff on site.

I watched a video in the gallery about how Malaysia got its independence and interesting that when... More

The museum was nice. The displays were very helpful in explaining Malay culture. We love the design and light effects inside. As usual, you can take photos but make sure not to use a flash.

First time in Malaysia and I stopped by the museum first to learn its history as I don't know much about Malaysia before. Although the museum is smaller than I expected as a national museum and exhibitions are very limited, I met a great volunteer guide, KC, who takes time and show me 4 sections along history line. I learnt... More

I went to the National Museum with a group of 12 kids ( there were 4 groups from our school altogether ). It was our school field trip. Entrance was free for the kids. The adults were charged RM2 each. Very reasonable price. There were no toilet inside the museum. The toilet was located at the back of the building... More

Each section of the history was very well explained and exhibits were excellant. The four sections took you from centuries back up to the present day. One of the most amazing exhibits was the Kings coronation throne.
