Very interesting visit

The exhibits are very informative - and in both English and Malay, which is handy! Cheap entrance fee, and definitely worth visiting to see the history of Malaysia.

The museum depicts the history of Malaysia and its culture. In this museum I was able to appreciate Malaysia's heart and soul through its history.

Located in Jalan Damansara, across the road from the lake gardens, this museum is housed in a building with Minangkabau architecture. A small museum comprising 2 levels, the museum has been in existence since the 1960's. Exhibits tell the story of the country's history from prehistoric times through the colonial era to present. At the back of the museum are... More

This museum traces the history of Malaysia, the Portuguese, Dutch and British times, through to Independence and on to today. It is interesting and items are labelled in several languages. We were interested to note a number of different language guides too. A pleasant small museum suitable for all ages and not too expensive to visit either.

For a national museum, its collection of relics is considered very little, numerous of them are actually replica as mentioned in explanation.

The Museum Negara is mostly a native craft store. It is one of the places the Tour buses stop at for you to shop at. The Museum was extra and not easy to find as was not included in our tour - pluse we were not given enough time to really give the Museum a good view. The crafts were... More

The museum is filled with the history of how KL became a muslin nation. I found this very interesting but my husband did not enjoy it so much. Worth the visit for a couple of hours.

This museum clearly exceeded my expectations. It is structured into 4 main parts each focussing on a different period of Malaysia's history through to today. I definitely came out with a better understanding of the unique cultural mix of this nation and where it has come from. I spent almost two hours in there and would recommend it to everyone,... More
