Visited Saturday, Jan. 17 with a group on a cruise ship shore excursion. This museum is huge with all objects well displayed in large cases and well lit. There is a current exhibit of objects from China called "Treasures from the Summer Palace" which runs until Feb. 3. This museum is a lovely place for a non-Malaysian to gain knowledge... More

Really fantastic museum. History covers the beginning to the end, arranged in such a way that you travel through time chronologically (useful!). Little if any prior knowledge is required which makes it interesting for all rather than solely for those who know what Malaysia is about. Very good value for money, but girlfriend complained quite often that the air conditioning... More

We went online to check out the free tour times (available in English, French and Japanese and sometimes other requests) and we're given a brilliant tour by our guide Eunice. 5ringgit (£1) entry and a private tour. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her country and gave us lots of new knowledge about Malaysia's rich history. A must see!

We reached the museum using the KL Hop-on Hop-off service. The exhibitions are very interesting, well organized, exhaustive information in English is available, the place is maintained in a perfect manner. The admission fee is only 5 ringgit. For those interested in weapons - there is an exhibition of firearms and swords with a separate admission fee of 10 ringgit.

Last visited the museum also 14 years back. Nothing much to see except for the same old boring artifacts. People are being charged to enter the museum so something new and refreshing should be done in the museum. Thank God for the special exhibition of weaponry. At least, we were not disappointed to go there to see something different besides... More

This museum is really good and gives you a good perspective of Malaysia's history. Unfortunately we only had 40 minutes which is ok but not enough if you want to see things carefully. Entrance fee: 5RM
