Go at sunset, the view of KL is impresive, you can even spot tre petronas from there. There is a restaurant up there but is quite expensive for a solo traveler

We went to the observatory deck of the KL tower in the evening/early night - around 8 PM. The view was spectacular! The tower lights up in the evening and changes color ever so often. The view from the observatory deck is beautfiul with the petronas lit up and the city lights. Definitely recommended

from 8:30pm to 10:30pm every half hour there is a light show for at least 2 min, worth to watch it if near by at that time.

Good place for family and children. Budget travellers and backpeckers not recommended to reach the tower, cause ticket price rather expensive.

There is no doubt that the KL Tower is a money making project (they'll take your photos and try to get you to buy them etc.), but it does give a good view over the city. Try to go on a clear day.

It has a rotative restaurant, should be visited at least once. Easy access and it is nearly interlinked with other shopping malls
