Centrl Market has been around for decades and easily accessible by private or public transport. It houses a massive variety of cultural and handicraft outlets & a few eateries. It has remained relatively unchanged for many years and for good reasons. Recommended to anyone seeking some light shopping while enjoying the age & heritage of the building.

My family & I loved these markets. We went to the Fish Foot spa there a couple of times and it was great and really reasonably priced. The majority of markets are inside with air conditioning which makes it very comfortable to shop in & that's exactly what we did. There was no hassling and it was really pleasant to... More

Central market is not far from China town so you are able to visit both. Variety of items to buy some very similar to China town. No bartering here though. A few places to eat or get a drink...although soft drinks and juices are the main.

It's a good and clean market if you're after some souvenirs, material, and other knickknacks but I thought food was lacking there.

Nice place to bargain for traditional handicrafts. A wide variety of bags, necklaces, wooden handicrafts available. Wide choice and you can bargain with the seller. However be careful take a round of the market place and note down the prices. Dont buy at first glance. Will definitely visit there again

This is an interesting place. There are some legitimate antique shops but also some fakes. We saw some interesting Kris knives, great American nostalgia antiques, framed butterflies and bats, a canon (yes real), as well as furnishings, rugs and souvenirs. I enjoy this sort of thing so it was fun for me. I have to say though, I bought nothing.... More

Central Market is essentially shopping central for souvenirs. As others have stated, it's not really much of a market, but still worth a stop if you want walk around outdoors. Good for finding souvenirs and people-watching. There are afew places indoors and in the outdoor alley (covered by a canopy) where you can grab a bite to eat. Best to... More

this is a good experience of you visiting KL on a budget and want to save money as this is one of the free attractions. If you have spare cash to spend rather go elsewhere as everything you can see here can be sourced on the streets too. The nice thing about this market is that it is under cover... More

This is a big and busy market, under cover and has many eating stalls. Nothing much to buy for the tourist. Not that cheap and China town just across the road is much cheaper and has every thing. This market show cases what is available in Malaysia but not for the tourist who loves a bargain and likes to haggle. Shops... More
