It's a typical tourist market. There are plenty of shops and souvenirs. It's a good break from a hot day walking in a nearby China town.

We visited Kuala Lumpur in April during the month when it's humid, with lots of sudden showers. Central Market was a lovely air conditioned market type shopping experience, which allowed us to hide away from the Malaysian heat. It was clean, safe and a good hiding spot if you were trying to stay out of the rain. Shops were overpriced... More

It's a nice walk to the central market if you are staying in central KL. It's a welcoming sight when you get there as you get pretty hot and the market is nicely air-conditioned. There was a good selection of shops, from craft to cheap footwear, to yummy food. We loved the Thai restaurant upstairs where we enjoyed a beer... More

My husband and I had a wander around here for an hour or so - it's a little like an airer, inside souk with lots of stalls. It's nice and cool there but the prices aren't the most competitive. A fair variety of things to buy though. There are a few coffee and snack stops downstairs, but upstairs there is... More

My friends rided me there for an hour to get the KUL sourvenir...lot of shops you can visit...mostly the same price. However the price is much cheaper than other famous attraction e.g. KLCC. You can also find portraits painting at street. There is a parking place and easy to deliver your stuff. Worth to take a glance there...

Central Market offers an array of Malay/Chinese/Indian arts and crafts in a bazaar style. One gets an idea of how rich the culture is by looking at the goods available at the market. But buyers beware as the prices are a bit high, and are catered to tourists who quickly looking for souvenirs to bring back home. The market is... More

Malaysia is a very hot place and central market has air conditioning inside the building. Althought the price is a little bit expensive than Chinatown (petaling street) but it was more comfortable shoping at here. At the 2nd floor there is a food court. The Chinatown can be reach by foot from central market.

The Central Market building (!) is a mix of china-town and little india with the added convinience of air conditioning. We visited as a family and there was something for everyone. Although some might judge it as the usual tourist trap we found the general level of quality as far from the small shops in china-town proper. Food can also... More

We were glad we gave this place a visit. This market is not much more than "Souvenir Central" where you will find stall after stall selling identical knick knacks at similar prices. We enjoyed it here as we intended to buy souvenirs. Unless you are wanting to buy knick knacks or enjoy window shopping, you may give this place a... More
