Tabur East and Tabur West come to mind when hiking Tabur is mentioned. Another trail which I find more challenging is the Tabur X (Extreme). It is longer and the climbs before the peak are steep, challenging but exhilarating. The trail is also less defined with a false peak so it is good to have a guide. Though East and... More

The view there is amazing. If you could catch the sunrise or sunset at the peak, you should. Maybe perhaps too many hikers and not much is done to rehabilitate the place, there are parts of the hill (especially the steep parts) which are balding quite badly. With the recent fire, let's hope there's work to restore the place. It's... More

Went up to Bukit Tabur with some friends. The trail is considered OK although some areas are very steep. It is recommended for hikers to wear gloves and hiking shoes. Hiking stick is optional but would be a good-to-have item. Ensure to bring enough bottled of water. Some areas are dangerous, in fact a friend in my group had a... More

If you are the adventurous outdoor person, you must try half a day hiking to Bukit Tabur, just about 13 km from Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). I and my family went there last Sunday, and for the first time we hike to Bukit Tabur East and maybe next time we want to try hike to Bukit Tabur West. From... More

This was my weekend exercise route since the longest as we live here. When we first started hiking here, it was just jungle and fruit farms without any trails or foot-path. We take our pets up this trail for their weekly exercise and also to enjoy the views of the Klang Gates Dam and nature. Since the authorities imposed the... More

I went to Tabur East with an experienced hiker friend. I think it's better to go there with a friend that have been there before if you are going there the first time. The climb was really adventurous as it is quite rocky and the trail is not as smooth as other hill that I have been before. But the... More

Bukit Tabur sits right in the city, making it KL's popular hiking spot. There are two trails, Tabur East and Tabur West. Tabur East is shorter but steeper and the last stage of the trail up to the top is not for the faint-heart. Tabur West is longer but more pleasant and safer. In both trails you are rewarded with... Nice view on the top but not recommended to go up or going down at dusk or night because the track is quite dangerous
