For anyone who wants to understand the many facets that make up Malaysia...

For anyone who wants to understand the many facets that make up Malaysia today, start with a stroll through Kuala Lumpur's oldest neighborhood. As you discover the heritage sites of KL, a tin mining settlement that has grown into a thriving metropolis, you'll also hear stories of what brought Chinese and Indian immigrants, the trades they practiced and their traditions and beliefs, many of which endure today. Sample a variety of authentic foods and see where different communities worship. Eat with locals, experience the places they live and pray and fall in love with a city and a people!

I was staying in KL for 3 days total on a backpacking trip with a friend. If you are looking to get in touch with KL and have a great introduction into the city, this is the way to do it. Shawn was a funny, enthusiastic, and energetic tour guide who was great in introducing the city's cuisine, history, and... More

This was my first time to KL, and therefore I was a little apprehensive about the city. Shawn did a fantastic job, not only in explaining the cultural roots of the city, but in immersing the group in the intricacies of local life (emphasis on food, religion, and history). Overall, a wonderful tour, conducted at a leisurely pace, that covered... More

My husband and I had a few hours to kill in KL before we took our connecting flight to Kuching. This was my first visit to Malaysia and we realised we wont have the time to do many things in KL. We chose the Eat Pray Love tour. Besides us there was another couple from Europe. The walk was a... More

Returning to KL after a gap of almost 20 years, we thought a walking tour of the old town would be ideal to reacquaint ourselves with the city. The mega enthusiastic Shaun took the tour, & delighted in taking us on a magical mystery tour of the back streets, with a glimpse into the past of dying trades sadly being... More

We landed in KL at 4:30am and then started this tour at 9am. What a great way to meet the city! We were joined by two other couples and ate our way through the city. Definitely ate things that we never would have found or been able to order without our friendly, well-known local guide. Everywhere we went we were... More

We went on this tour in July 2014 and had a fantastic time! It was just myself, my partner and our tour guide so we ended up with a private tour :) We ate LOADS - don't have breakfast!! - and learned so much about the culture and history of Malaysia and KL. Absolutely brilliant; couldn't recommend it highly enough!!!

This was our first time in kl so wanted to learn the history and culture of the country. We booked two tours, Eat pray love walking tour and the day tour to malacca. Sean was our guide for both trips. Sean's enthusiasm and passion for the heritage was a credit to the company. He guided us through the multi cultured... More

Great walking tour. Although it ran on for 2 hours over the planned time, Sean, our guide, was always fun, informative and interesting. Be prepared for lots of walking, and visiting places unlikely to go as a regular tourist. Apart from the heat, the walking itself is pretty easy going. Learn lots about the local culture and heritage and see... More

We did the Eat Pray Love walking tour (Malaysia Heritage Walk) with Sean. This was our last day of our trip and we were going to head for a flight directly after the tour. I can tell you that this was the BESTEST ending to our trip in Malaysia. The tour may sound initially expensive or may look like a... More
