This is a beautiful and well-maintained colonial building but unfortunately, it's not open to the public. It's next to the KL KTM station and is also on the free GO KL City bus route (red).

One of the prominent landmarks in the old part of Kuala Lumpur city, this building has been portrayed in several local and outside movies. Built by the British to serve the economy during colonial days, the architecture were heavily influenced with the Moorish style. Located just in front of Kuala Lumpur KTM Station, this landmark is easily accessible by public... More

It is not a tourist destination. Nevertheless, it is significant for its role in the development of the tin mining industry in Malaya. Completed in 1907, it was often called the "only railway station in the world without a railway". Passengers buying train tickets are ushered onto the railway ferry to cross the channel, where they board the train in... More

The KTM Building, along with the old KTM Railway Station just across the street from it, are quite arguably the grand dames of KL's iconic buildings. Built in the British Colonial era with a healthy dose of Moorish influences, it continues to remind Malaysians of our rich history and national heritage. One of my favourite buildings in KL.

The Malayan Railways Limited Building is a superb colonial era building located over the road from the old central railway station building. It is excellently maintained and great for a few photos of the historic architecture.

Driven past the railway admin building many times on the way into KL admiring the architecture along with the more noticeable original station building on the opposite side of the road. The admin building has grown a brown facade as opposed to the gleaming white of the station..quite a contrast. This was the first opportunity to view the building from... More

This is the administrative building of Malayan Railways. Built during the colonial era with Moorish architecture, it is a heritage building. One of the iconic structures in KL, a stop here can be made for photos.
