A nice craft shop with lots of stuff

This shop is located in the Lee Rubber building, which looks like a 60s or 70s low rise office building. To look at from the outside, you'd never tell it was host to such a nice shop as this. I'd question just how much of the stock is authentic Malay craft, but there's certainly a lot of nice things to... More

A super colourful temple of decorative items where during the 5 first seconds you'll be feeling like buying everything. Some items a really nice, locally produced and reasonably prices and others are simply too much so do browse around. The location is not easy to find (second floor inside the building in front of Guardi temple) so it's never busy... More

Living in KL this is the place my visitors love the most...... A beautiful, overwhelming, visually sumptuous shop that is very reasonable!

A great place to visit and have a little look for pretty unique gifts or home wear. There is so much stuff in there that you don't really know where to start! Lots of lovely colourful fabrics and home wear items. I had lunch here and it was so yummy - it's worth going just for the food! The quiche... More

I went to Chinatown expecting the usual junky shops but went upstairs into this emporium and was delighted with what I found. I purchased nine items, I had a tenth but was advised that it was not up to their normal standard and they looked for another but they were all faulty, they apologised most profusely.

This shop took some effort to find but it was so worth it. There is no signage (that we saw) to mark the entrance, we were luckily directed by a local. When we walked in we were so surprised. So much on offer & as it was close to Christmas when we visited it was very pretty with sparkly decorations.... More

I love this place! Most of the items are not made in Malaysia unfortunately, but they have the flavor of Malaysia and are designed by the fabulous Peter Hoe. His fabric designs incorporate Malaysian landmarks; I love his tote bags. And the sterling silver earrings are show-stoppers and so reasonably priced. I wish he still had overnight bags. I was... This really is one of those genuine 'hidden gems', mostly because it is genuinely hidden! If you visit the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple then the entrance to Peter Hoe is directly opposite the temple. It feels a bit like you're walking into an office block, but you are in the right place, just take the lift or the stairs to... More

This place is amazing if you like lots of colour and funky designs. I could have bought all the stock in the shop! Lots of batik fabrics and colourful bags, pouches, tablecloths, curtains, and napkins. Interesting lampshades and a million cushions. I bought a gorgeous patchwork baby quilt. There are some clothes and a good cafe to park your husband.... More

My husband & I lived in Kuala Lumpur for over 6 years. When preparing for our return to Canada we wanted to bring back reminders of KL We have our Peter Hoe Malaysian place mats, table clothes, candles & holders not to mention decorator pillows that Peter himself helped to choose. The cafe has a delicious light lunch menu you... More
