Description: Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities...
Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously.Join Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

It was an awesome time with the most gorgeous group and all the different dishes we tried were just delicious. It was just more than an eating experience, we learnt a lot about the cultures! Thank you for everything, we had a lot of fun and recommend this trip to 100 percent. Rebecca and Lissa

Where to start, met Farah at the agreed location and straight to a Malay eating place where we tried lots of traditional food and was encouraged to join in. Next stop was to try Chinese pancakes, again excellent food and Farah continued to explain the food culture throughout the evening. As it was still Chinese New Year we were lucky... More

This is the 2nd time I did the food tour in KL and of course there's a reason why. First one didn't disappoint and the 2nd one as well (and i won't hesitate for a 3rd or 4th). Ms Farah, our tour guide, is very knowledgeable. We learned a lot not only about the food but the Malaysian culture as... More

I truly cannot say enough nice things about this tour. Myself and 3 friends are travelling through KL for two nights and booked this tour for the first night. From start to finish it was a phenomenal, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our tour guide Anna was wonderful and took us to some delicious spots, graciously explaining everything as we went along. She... More

My boyfriend and I had a one night stopover in KL and we knew we couldn't pass up spending our limited time in town sampling all the delicious cuisine the city has to offer - so the Off The Eaten Track tour was perfect for us to fit in maximum eating! Our guide Charlie was fantastic - really engaging, funny... More

I'm not a tour person, so for me to have such a rewarding experience is indeed out of the ordinary to say the least. First of all, our guide, Farah Tan, was a bottomless well of information on Malaysian food, culture, history and tourist tips. I felt she went abive and beyond to make us feel at home, which we... Learn about Malaysian culture through feasting on streetfood while chatting with fellow travellers and super enthusiastic guide Farah. Informal, casual, so much variety and soooooooo much food - but we could not stop eating it was just too good!

What an amazing experience this tour is! You are given an insight to the varied and rich culture that exists in Malaysia. Our host, since she was more than a guide, Farah, collected us from the station and immediately began to explain the different cultures and how they had enriched life in Malaysia. Food plays an important part in every... More

The 'Off the Eaten Track' tour really REALLY gets you out of the tourist central of KL eating with the locals in some well-chosen markets and hotspots. Our guide was quite flexible and took special requests like a pro, even with a very diverse group with lots of different interests and tastes. Book a tour on your first day in... More
