Owner description: Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously.Join Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

Food Tour Malaysia was amazing and so much more than we expected! We were on the KL Food Walk tour and went through so many areas of KL learning all about the history of the city, its suburbs and, of course, the food! It was fascinating, incredibly informative and a lot of fun. The food was sensational too (you will... More

I really enjoyed this evening, the food we had was delicious and we went all over the city. They take you to places you will have trouble finding yourself, and you get to try a good range of different foods.

My partner and I went on the Off The Eaten Track tour, and Farah was our guide. The trip was part of a package deal we'd booked so we weren't too sure what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised and loved every second of this tour. We were in a big group (8 people) but everything ran like clockwork... More

Really enjoyed this trip and Farah our guide was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Plenty of food . Very tasty and brilliant to see how the locals eat. We travelled to four different locations enjoying four different types of cuisine. We really did eat local food with the locals,a great experience. We know now some Malay words and how to... More

We did the evening Off The Eaten Track tour, starting at 7. We were picked up at Taman Paramount LRT station by Farah, who was a most excellent guide, very good English speaker, and she knew to combine information about food, culture, population, tradition and language. She was also prepared to battle the elements as she was packing 7 jumbo... More

My partner and I did the 'off the eaten track' tour with Charles in July 2014, and it has to be one of the best experiences we have ever had whilst travelling! It was the highlight of our trip to KL, and we still talk to family and friends about the fun we had on the tour, and the amazing... More

My husband and I joined Farah for the Off the Eaten track food tour while we were in Kuala Lumpur for one night before we left for our next vacation destination. The communication through e-mail was spot on - we knew exactly which transportation we needed to use to get to the meeting point and Farah was on time to... More

I was slightly hesitant at first due to the price. However I was soon proven incorrect. The whole operation is totally seamless. Even the pre tour contact ensured I knew how to get to the meeting place, on time. Then, they take you totally off the gringo trail. So you are literally eating in food courts as the locals do,... We did the off the eaten track tour with Piaree and it was a real highlight of the trip to KL. Piaree took us around the KL suburbs to try real local food, and then back in to the city for some great roti. Piaree was knowledgeable about the food and culture, answered all our questions, was engaging and made... More

We met up with Charles and his nephew at the Bangsar station spot and after a few introductions and a quick chat we walked off to start the tour. Charles is very informative of the history and growth of the region and pointed out features such as original buildings and places of historic importance. Our first stop was a delicious... More
