Description: Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities...
Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously. Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

Farah is awesome! This tour is great, by the sounds of it every tour can be different slightly due to whats available for the night. We had the pleasure of having Farah take us out to multiple locations for a varaity of Maylaisan food, each came with a story and information on how/why/when/what to eat. Highly recomended.

My 2 friends and I did the Off the Eaten Track tour, along with 4 other people. Our guide Charles and driver Kumar were amazing! We went to 4 different small food vendors where we tried multiple dishes. Some dishes were very traditional Malaysian foods while there were some other cuisines included as well. Charles did a great job estimating... More

This was a fun food tour but a very expensive one! There was an abundance of local Malay, Chinese and Indian food and interesting information from Farah but it is certainly not a value for money tour. if you are only in KL for a brief visit and money is no object then by all means take this tour. However... More

I would definitely recommend this tour, we tried so many different types of food from restaurants to street food, including Malay, Chinese and Indian. And Farah told us about the food culture and a bit of the history. It was so interesting, and the food was delicious!

Our food tour with Charles was by far our favorite part of our trip to Southeast Asia, and really allowed us to see KL like we never would have on our own. The food was fantastic, the markets were very cool, and we gained a great insight on the way of life in Malaysia. We cannot recommend doing the food... More

5 Ladies did this tour with a lovely Lady called Farah.. Lots of food, great locations and very informative. Indian stop was my favourite Best Roti and Dahl I have ever had. Farah ordered a roti tisue which is a huge cone shape and sweet and crispy. It was for one of the girls as her Birthday cake. It was... More

We had an absolutely great time at the tour. Besides the authentic and delicious food we got to know about a lot of facts of the Malaysian culture. This tour is unlike any normal tourist tour because you're taken to local street restaurants, which you wouldn't find by yourselves. Our guide Farah was lovely and welcoming! I recommend this tour... Amazing tour, with excellent tour leader! This was the last tour of our travels and it has been by far the best. Farah is very knowledgable and enthusiastic about the food we tried and was a great host. She showed us many different types of food and we were stuffed by the end of it! The only tip I would... I did the "Off the Eaten Track" tour with Farah, and it was a lovely evening! She picked us up in her car from a train station, and it was really easy to find. We went to several locations where we had a variety of foods, and she was really good at explaining the history of the food and culture... More

Did the Kuala Lumpur tour which starts in Little India, then onto central KL and finishes in China town. Charles the guide was friendly, knowledgeable and gave us a good education on Kuala Lumpur's history and culture in between sampling all the food. He was more than happy to answer all our questions. I enjoyed the food and learning and... More
