Description: Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities...
Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously. Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

This tour provided us a chance to sample different cuisines in Malaysia: the Chinese food, Indian food and the Malay. All are well organized to make a perfect introduction of local foods. My top choice is the Chinese restaurant. We were very happy with Farah. Thank you for a good evening!

I booked this last minute and was not disappointed. Our guide Charles was full of passion about food and Malay culture and heritage. We ate like kings and were offered as much as we wanted if things we liked! Everything was amazingly good. Charles not only taught us about the food but also took us through many important neighborhoods and... More

My husband and I went on the Food Tour with Farah in July. We had a fabulous evening trying Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisine as well as visiting markets and trying the local fruits. Farah was so passionate and knowledgeable about the Malaysian cuisine and was a wonderful hostess wanting us to try new foods everywhere to the point where... More

We went on the food tour with Farah in June and we had a fantastic time. We were taken in a minivan to sample Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisine. Not only was the food and drink delicious, but Farah's cultural insights were fascinating. After my husband had tucked into a second portion of curry, we were taken back into the... More

If you do one thing in KL then please do this. Our guide, Farah, was charming and knowledgeable as she took us to the various restaurants and eateries. We felt very well looked after and she gave us great information on the history of Malaysia, its people and of course its food. We got to taste Malay, Chinese and Indian... More

We had a great time with Farrah! Malay, Chinese, and Indonesian food. She explained the different types of food, how to eat them, and even the background of the food we had. In the van she would tell stories of history and culture of Malaysia.

So this food tour was amazing for 2 reasons. 1. Farah—she was energetic, opinionated, and so passionate about Malaysian food and Malaysia. It was inspiring and made our 5 hours with her extremely enjoyable. 2. Farah’s choice of places to go eat. We went to a Malaysian "coffee shop" (loosely means food court with individual food stands) in the middle... More
