Description: Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities...
Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously. Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

A great way to taste Malaysia and see the streets of KL. There were 15 of us on the tour - which was a good group size. The tour commences at a local railway station and proceeds through the Indian quarter where we had lunch at a local restaurant. The food eaten with our hands was very tasty - with... More

As Aussies, we are familiar with Malaysian food but that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying this great food experience. Our host, Charles, was very good and gave us a great deal of information on the food we were eating and on Malaysia in general. The places he took us to were out of the way but were known by... Combination walking and food tour of KL Indian, Malay and Chinese restaurants. Friendly informative guide (Charlie) ran the tour smoothly. This was a great way to see parts of KL that tourists might miss or find hard to arrange into one morning. There was plenty to eat with more on offer if requested. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed today's tour with Charlie! Really great food, conversation and information about KL and Malaysia. Loved the Jasmine. The tour felt well organised, adaptable for different parents and comfortable.

At 11am we met Charles our knowledgeable and friendly guide. We then headed for Little India where we enjoyed a great Indian meal and ice lemon tea. Then we had some lovely dessert snacks at a nearby hawkers stand. After that we had a lovely cool shaved ice with I think rice. We then had to sit out a downpour... More

Their website was really accurate-- as a traveler you want to try local foods but you're not sure what to order (or how) and you're not sure what places have good sanitation. So it's really useful to have a local guide to give you tastes of different things and tell you about them. This tour starts from a location on... More

We did the Off The Eaten Track food tour in KL with Charles in Feb 2015. We had actually booked a different tour, but it had to be cancelled at the last minute due to some of the stalls being closed for Chinese New Year. We were offered the more expensive tour at no extra charge and were very happy... More

We got picked up on time and where accompanied by your lovely host the entire evening. We got in her mini-bus and traveled to 4 or 5 different locations in KL. All the food was great and we enjoyed experiencing these new dishes for us. Our host was very caring - always checking if we had special needs or wishes... More
