Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously.Join Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community. « less

We were picked up by Charles, a well spoken and conversant person with a passion for showing people the culinary delights of Malaysia. We started of in the local eatery and because we were not only interested in the tatse but also in the culture and people behind the food, Charles introduced us to our cooks and we had the... More

We got what we expected and the food that we partake was the best that we have had during the entire visit to Singapore, Malacca and KL combined. The other food stores pale in comparison each time we tried similar dishes or a fusion of the nasi lemak, roti, mango lassi, roasted duck and other mouth-watering dishes. The "Off Eaten... More

We had a fantastic time on the evening street food tour. The meeting point is easy to get to by metro and Charles was there to meet us. He was a fantastic guide; really friendly and fun as well as knowledgeable about the food. We got to try a kinds of dishes. As other reviewers have said - come hungry... More

I took the "Off the Eaten Track" tour and thought it was great. We went to a Malay place, a Chinese place and an Indian place, then a final stop for dessert. And the spots we went to were real "street food" places. The kind of places where you don't see any other tourists. Farah was a great guide and... More

Farah, our guide, introduced us to a wide variety of Malay cuisine by taking us to places where I would never have thought of visiting. She explained the cultural diversity of the country and how it is reflected in the food. She ensured that everything tasted was freshly prepared, and even had some of the group involved in aspects of... More

Food Tour Malaysia: put this in your itinerary when visiting KL. After catching the train from KL Sentral to Taman Paramount station about a 20 minute ride we were met by our guides for the night Charlie and Gabby and two other people, after meet-and-great we all jumped into a mini bus off to our first stop where we were... After two weeks in Malaysia this was an absolutely fantastic end to my trip. Having loved the tour in Penang I decided to do one here too and am so glad I did. Farah took us to her favourite local places which we would never have found or even heard about on our own and everything we tried was delicious!... More

My partner and I loved this tour! We met Charles at the station at 7pm and we visited 3 different roadside restaurants over the evening. We even stopped in Little India which was wonderful. The food was absolutely amazing and super authentic. Definitely wouldn't try the food if I didn't have somebody showing me! Charles was a great guide and... More
