Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously.Join Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community. « less

After reading reviews we decided to try this for our last night in KL. We met our guide Farah at Taman Paramount train station by following her very clear directions. Farah took us to places the locals eat at, ones we definitely wouldn't have found ourselves, to experience food from Malay, Chinese and Southern Indian cuisines. Farah organised great food... More

A great way for food lovers to experience good food that gets eaten by the locals. Our guide, Farah, sent us clear instructions on where to meet and how to get there. Her enthusiasm for the various foods of her country was very evident. She wanted us to experience as much as we could, and to learn about both the... More

A great way to experience all the authentic food KL has to offer. Our tour guide Piaree was funny, insightful, friendly and very easy-going. We tried 4 or 5 different types of cuisine and countless dishes. A must if you enjoy trying new food and learning a lot about the different cultures in Malaysia.

I had read great reviews of this tour and wasn't disappointed. We met at Taman Paramoint train station following clear directions from our guide Farah. Using public transport saved a lot of time in KL, also it is cheap, safe and efficient. The monorail is very crowded due to repairs at present. Farah then took us to three restaurants showcasing the... More

We were 4 of us on the tour and 2 other people. Piaree was our guide for the evening and she was excellent. We had to meet at Taman Paramount, which is a 30 min train ride from KLCC. We first had Nasi Lemak, Otak otak and some kind of soup - all very delicious. I liked how this was... More

Hopped the LRT to Taman Paramont Station where we were met on-time by our guide. From here we were treated to a chauffeured tour of truly local eateries in our guides (Priaee, sorry if I've spelt your name wrong) private car. The first thing to mention is that the places we visited and ate we would never have found or... More

Charles and farah took us to 4 areas which each offered great local foods. The highlight for me was the durian at the end - Farah got us the Musang King durian which is apparently the best type in town. We had a group of about 15 as part of a corporate event being hosted in KL, everyone agreed it... More

We did the tour with Farah on 26th June. Not only did we try countless local dishes from the three main types of Malasian food: Malay, Chinese and Indian but our guide, Farah was so knowledgable and enthusiatic, telling us all about the history and tradition surrounding Malaysian culture and introducing us to some of the cooks who were so... Farah was absolutely wonderful! My brother and I were in Kuala Lumpur for only 36 hours and this has been a highlight on our adventures around Asia. I am a chef myself and I learned a great deal on this food tour. We were able to try food that was authentically Malaysian, Indian, and Chinese. The places Farah took us... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening trailing through local eateries, sampling traditional Malaysian cuisine. Our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable, & spoke excellent English. We would recommend this tour and had no problem with any aspect of the booking process, the guide, or the tour itself, but on reflection felt it was somewhat overpriced.
