I was in KL with the family for the school holidays and one of the places I brought them is the Zoo Negara Kuala Lumpur. Although the entrance fees are quite fair, when we went in, we didn't expect the area to be really huge. For those who does not like to walk, you can take the Tram at the... More

It is a good experience to visit animals specially two pandas from china. For visiting panda you should pay 30 RM. Go there early in the morning because the zoo closes at 4:30 p.m and if you go there may be run out of time to see all the animals. The interesting part was that during our visit most animals... 1. My perspective; I, (a 70 year old world traveler and visitor of many zoos), a 45 year old male friend, and his 11 year old son visited the zoo on March 17/15. We visited mostly for the pleasure of the young boy, expecting him to see the flora and fauna of Malaysia and experience what our Lonely Planet travel... More

My fiance and my family decided to take a trip to the Zoo. When we arrived we paid to enter the zoo. There are variety of animals, like; monkeys, pony, giraffe, penguin, tortoise, birds, lions, cheetah, panda. We get the chance to see when they were feeding the panda. But it was a shame that we didn't got the chance... More

Located in Jalan Ulu Klang, this zoo has been in existence since the 1960's. The newest star attraction here is a pair of panda's on loan from China. You need to pay an additional fee to see them though which is ridiculous. The zoo covers 110 acres and it takes nearly half a day to walk around. Some of the... More

OK, the one and only time I was here was in 1992. Back when I was a kid. But this time, me and my husband decided to take our toddler there since he is such a big fan of animals. I mean, at 20 months he already knows more than 50 animals (including dinosaur species) and hippos and rhinos too!... More

There is a nice selection of animals. Be sure to see the Pandas for an additional fee. Purchase your tickets prior to going because they are quite expensive for foreigners when purchased at the ticket booth.

it was lots of fun before couple of years during my visit there but the my last visit in 16 february 2015 was a disappointment.i feel like there is no care for the zoo anymore. you cannot interact with animals like other world known zoo's , we used to feed the elephants now they placed the elephants very far from... I havent had big expectations for this zoo when I planned to visit with my wife. But, surprisingly it was above all expectations. We went on a Thursday using the metro and we exit at wansa maju station and then took a cab 10 RM. we arrived at 4 pm thinking that it was enough but the employee on the... More
