Description: Come and visit Lazat Malaysian Cooking School and bring back an authentic...
Come and visit Lazat Malaysian Cooking School and bring back an authentic taste of Malaysia! Our hands-on cooking classes are held Monday to Saturday and presented in English by entertaining Malaysian instructors. We are located just outside Kuala Lumpur city centre and our school is furnished with purpose made demonstration tables and individual cooking stations. Each day of the week we teach a different ethnic menu and provide detailed explanations of ingredients and cooking methods. Students individually prepare their own 4-course lunch, usually consisting of an appetizer, main course, side dish and dessert. Malaysian cuisine is a unique fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Baba-Nonya flavors, drawing upon our country's rich history as an historical crossroads for explorers and traders from around the globe. At LaZat our goal is to bring Malaysian cooking to the world by sharing with you our family recipes, which we have savored and perfected over generations.

We had visitors from the United States coming to Kuala Lumpur. After looking on this site we found LaZat Cooking School. I attended with a bit of doubt in y mind but came away totally pleased with the classes and my belly was full. The hostess's were wonderful, the facility was amazingly clean, and the staff were delightful. Our instructor,... More

I have no hesitation in recommending LaZat to foodies - locals and tourists. The manner in which all aspects relating to this day was handled is impressive indeed! All the attention to detail. From the reception at the wet market to the hands-on cooking class, culminating in a social "gesamentlikheid", enjoying the fruits of our labour . . . all... More

Communication is excellent from first enquiry to arrangements for transport to bring the left over yummy food home. The session is so well organised that you get to make lots without feeling pressured. Excellent team all very friendly and good fun! The sit down meal at the end is realy nicely done and if you don't get through the generous... More

We had a traditional Malay cooking class booked for us as a gift. We are so glad we did as it has been a highlight of our trip to Malaysia so far. Ana and her amazing team provided us with all we needed to understand and cook some amazing food. The setting is beautiful, it was hard to believe we... More

Fantastic value and experience thanks to Ana and Laty and the wonderful chef/instructor Susie. Our group of 13 New Zealanders (six men and seven women) thoroughly enjoyed the informative trip to the market first, then the instruction, cooking and consuming of our delicious Malay food. Definitely recommended for anyone, and our group had such fun. Thanks so much to Lazat... More

This was our last day in K.L and I really wish it had been our first. Laty and Anna had heaps of information to tell us, Anna at the market and Laty during the cooking class. Everything was so well organised. Sam picked us up and dropped us off, I would recommend paying a little extra for this rather than... More

Our amazing time with LaZat started with Sam picking us up right on time for the drive to the market. He highlighted many sites along the way. Then our group met Anna at the market. I think Anna must be the mayor of the market because she seemed to know everyone--and everyone loved her. What a great experience--she taught us... More

This place is fabulous. Great venue, on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur at the beginning of the jungle. The visit to the local markets before the class was very informative really enjoyable. The driver was impressive and from the moment we were picked up to the time he dropped us if he gave us a run down on the history... More
