I made a reservation via their website a week before. The tour is a bit short, just half day. But worth going as the place is simply stunning. The staff told us landing may not be possible due to strong tides but at the end we made it. (They clarified that refund for tickets and a discount for transport will... More

A great tour. Pricy for travelers on a budget, but definitely worth the money. The island itself is breathtaking, although they don't show visitors the whole structure. Gunkanjima Concierge makes the tour that much better by entertaining the visitors. The tour is in Japanese, but an audio tour in English is available.

Can go to Gunkanjima from Nagasaki via Ioujima. Crew hosipitality is very nice. Only can see the back side of Gunkanjima by this ship.

The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. They quickly and safely ushered us off and on the boat, as well as entertained us on the return trip back. English audio earphones made this a more enjoyable experience as well. Our tour guide on the island was an ex resident there and offered to answer any questions about his experience there. The... This is a must if you are in or close to Nagasaki. The island has an eerie post-apocalyptic wasteland like presence to it and is like nothing we have ever seen or experienced before. It makes for some interesting photos and is rated as one of the creepiest places on earth. This tour was certainly the highlight of Nagasaki for... More

I stopped into the Gunkanjima Concierge office during non-business hours and was met by Sato who welcomed me inside. He spoke very good English and was able to tell me about the tour/boat to Gunkanjima. I booked a spot on the afternoon boat (good thing as it was full). I was given an audio guide in English which worked out... More

The company scale is not so big. But they offers very good "hand-made" services to treat you. Only problem was that their lobby was too small therefore it was a bit tough to wait outside under the strong sunlight. When you take a cruiser, I recommend to sit the left side, so that you can see the Battleship island better,... More

this is not an island abandoned coz of a war or nuclear or natural disaster but the feeling of being in a ghost town is amaaaazing... its like the end of the world ! also its the place where the movie 007 skyfall was inspired !

Inspired by 007’s “Skyfall” movie, we made our way south from Fukuoka to Nagasaki. The 2-hour train journey was on the limited express. After a brief stop to see the Atomic Bomb Museum, we took a cab to Gunkanjima Conceirge; Which is one of the tour operators to Gunkanjima. However, if you are expecting a walking tour similar to Alcatraz,... More

After reading some recent reviews I can report that the boat cruise will run in heavy rain and light wind. We landed on the eerie, bleek and incredible Hashima Island (commonly known as Gunkanjima) in the pouring rain. Far from dampening our spirits I must say that the rain certainly added to the overall ambience from our perspective.. This place... More
