かつての日本工芸力にあらためて感心。小さいく決して豊富な展示数ではありませんが、鼈甲の細工はなかなか他では見られません。30分あれば見られます。お勧めです。 Marvelous tortoiseshell works. If you have 30 minutes , you could enjoy whole works. Entrance fee is 100JPY and it worth!

This Meiji period customs office was constructed in 1859. The unique small single storey brick building was rebuilt into Nagasaki City Bekko museum in 2002. Bekko is Japnaese word for the shell of hawksbill, a turtle type with ornate shell. The skills of bekko crafting was introduced by China. The museum had display of tools, technique and craftsmanship.
