A very busy and crowded area full of tourists, like myself. Plenty of choices of places to eat. Advise to eat earlier inorder to get a table. We couldn't get a table anywhere at around 8 pm and decided to go back to the area nearer to our hotel in Tennoji to get dinner. Shopping is endless. Literally, walk until... More

Just next to Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori is a Foodie's Favourite... Basically, what you can do is... Go shopping, and drop off at Dotonbori for a snack/meal, then go back to shop! There are many interesting signs for the restaurants there! Pretty cool! Definitely worth pictures... (Moving crabs, fish etc) If you have time, make sure you take a stroll along the... More

It's an awesome place. Lots of people, food, shopping, you name it. MUST go there. During the day or at night has different feel to it.

Heaps of places to eat, huge selection of restaurants. Lots of people and very close to our hotel. Had both lunch and dinner in this area.

Loved the selection of food as well as the household items lane. Only problem was many of the restaurants stop taking in customers at 9pm so if you are late eater, beware. You can still eat at one of the many pub-like restaurants though. It has plenty of ambience.

Osaka is not my favorite city in Japan but this area makes the city worthwhile to visit. There are many restaurants and many funny Japanese symbols on buildings with an amazing vibe. You see something different at every turn. You can get cheap Japanese fast food, noodles, or head to a nicer restaurant and eat crab or sushi. I love... More

This is part of the bright lights and bustling scene that you come to Japan for - be sure to come after sunset equally for the mobs of people watching as the ostentatious signage. Great options for food and drink, if you couldn't the already by the giant crab or hand holding a piece of nigiri. Don't miss a stroll... More

this is a great place to eat with many restaurants. Good to get an early start as it can get quite busy.

We came on a Saturday night and wow! The vibe of the whole area was amazing! It was an experience not to be missed and I can see why it's ranked number one for Osaka.
