We visit dotonbori at the evening, a little bit crowded but its tolerable. Prepare to do a lot of walking. And of course try to see the famous Glico Man. Try to taste of Takuyaki, okonomiyaki, etc here there are many variety of restaurants here.

As an icon of Dotonbori, Glico Man is the favourite photo spot after the Giant Crab (located in front of the nearby restaurant). Make sure your camera have a good setting for both low light in surrounding and a very bright Glico Man as a background of your picture. I would not recommend using a flash to take your picture.

This is the place to be in Osaka. Everything is here, food, casino, games, shopping. The shopping area is so long, that you can't see the end of it. Lots of restaurants and gaming centers. It's a perfect place to spend the day. Just be prepare to walk! The place is open day and night. Absolutely awesome place, you can... More

Super crowded area full of poor quality items for sale. Not much interesting restaurant either so all in all not a place would recommend to anyone. When a rat started to play around the garbage cans on a corner we passed, we headed back to our hotel

Essential to visit, especially at night. This street is just endless delicious smells of food, noise, and bright lights - an absolutely sensory sensation to take in! So many food options it is hard to choose, but a queue is generally a good sign and don't forget to explore the arcades off to the side for even more options. Don't... More

I was telling myself that I would not shop during my trip to Osaka. Think again.... such a long shopping street with so many shops! Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Expect to spend a lot of time on this street unless you don't like shopping. The street is full of stores, restaurants, department store, café......and the price are good too. And we just love the 100yen store and the stationary store, prepare to open your wallet.
