Not really what I imagined of Osaka..it was our first stop but we were so tired of the flight that we maybe lost some organisation and didn't see so much interesting things of osaka. But in the end Osaka is amazing is still one of the biggest citys of Japan and very beautiful if you know where to go!

A must-go to place especially for 1st-timers in Osaka. The bright lights, big poster ads, colours & buildings make a great photo for travellers and tourists. I was there at night unfortunately, so couldn't quite capture the area in day lighting. The night lights were also pretty & it was good to bask in the osaka night-life and rows of... More

A very lively area with lots of dining choices and shopping. As with any other popular tourist spots, place is always full with people. Unfortunately, this means queue in almost every food shop/store. The day crowd is slightly smaller but the night view is not something to miss.

The fact that a bunch of lit-up commercials are one of the main attraction of Osaka says it all. Yes, it's amazing - but after five minutes you lose interest (unless you are a five-year old). After all this is not the 80s anymore where people get amazed with this type of stuff. Go to nearby Nara, Kobe and so... More

We went here at both lunch and dinner time. Lunch time is super busy and there are SO many place to choose to eat from. At night the neon lights give the area a great energy and again tons of food. Shinsaibashi is really close as well and that is a ton of shopping and food as well. Really cool... More

Dotonbori in Namba is a great place to go if you want to catch the lights in a Japanese city outside of Tokyo. There's a lot to see and to do in Namba and surrounding area. You can start at one end as just get lost walking. If you want to buy something, there is no shortage of stores in... More

I was only in the area for a night and unfortunately didn't get to see much, but from what I did see, there were tons of cosplayers, people having fun and partying on the streets on their bicycles, and lots of lights. Really fun and worth the visit if you're into experiencing something different.
