A peaceful park in the city - and good for runners too.

The rose garden is a nice break from the city. You'll still be surrounded by buildings but it's relaxing. It's also a popular exercise spot and you'll see people running to the... read more

The garden has quite a collection of roses. The garden itself may not be as interesting especially if you intend to make quite an effort to get here from a preceding destination. I visited this place through a bike tour and this was just a 15 minute stop for us so you may want to consider this as a short... More

We ended up at Nakanoshima Park pretty much the same way as how we ended up at Joypolis: We read somewhere on the internet that this is one of the must visit places in Osaka. It's not entirely a bad attraction, but it's not entirely outstanding either. It's a good place to visit occasionally if you're a local (the sights... More

The rose garden is a nice break from the city. You'll still be surrounded by buildings but it's relaxing. It's also a popular exercise spot and you'll see people running to the end, doing calisthenics, and running off.

I stumbled across this park and thought "wow! how lucky they are to have a park like this". It splits the river and affords great opportunity for people watching, jogging, relaxing, picnicking. As with any great city park, there is something for everyone. My favorite thing about this park was the rose garden. Who knew there were so many different... More

Osaka can be a ugly dreary city but there are some beautiful spots like this. The park has one of the only grass areas in the city. A great space to relax close to the river. And a few places to eat too.

Nakanoshima is a long river island in the Oo-kawa River of Central Osaka. From the Yodoyabashi district to the Tenjinbashi district is filled with much greenery and some parts are made into Nakanoshima Park. Accessing to the park is easy by subway or bus from the Minami (Nanba) district and by walking from the Kita (Umeda) district. It is enjoyable... More

I saw Nakanoshima from a cruise boat on the river and it was very impressive with many beautiful trees and flowers around. As we drifted by the park we were treated to a changing view of the park, gardens and surroundings. There were many people walking through the park or sitting and eating a meal/picnic. As we visited Osaka in... More

Went here on the late April and there were not much flowers. Atmosphere was a kind of dried. But very good to have a walk.

It was a nice park surrounded by river and building. It is great for the photographing op. Unfortunately for us, we did not have more chances to explore the park as we would like since it rained.
