We went to Universal Studios on Thursday 31 July during school holidays and yes, it was very busy but it didn't take away from the fun of the day. We arrived one hour before official opening time and bought our tickets. At that stage, only the 5 rides fast pass ticket was available as others had sold out. I was... More

We arrived at USJ at around 8.15 on the opening day of the Harry Potter World to find the gates had been opened earlier than the official time and there were no queues by the time we arrived. Of course our main aim was to see Harry Potter World, but after all the trips to Osaka we have made we... More

We happened to be in Osaka over the school holidays and had to deal with phenomenal crowds at Universal studios. My tips are; 1. Avoid mid July and August 2. If during peak periods get to the ticket booths at least 1/2 hr before it opens 3. Ticket booth and entrance queues are side by side so make sure you... More

What an incredibly fun day, had really nice food in the Curry place here and bought some cute Sesame Street gifts from the gift shop here. It is obviously very similar to that of Florida Universal Studios but thats good because I got to recreate the days from my trip there. Jurassic park ride was a favourite. Be warned if... More

we decided to visit universal studios japan since the new Harry Potter section just opened up. And it did not disappoint! The rides were fantastic, with lots of souvenir shops to visit. The park was very well organised to minimise the large flow of people pouring into the new section, so they had a system to allocate time for entry.... More

fun place. looks like most of the attractions have been picked up and shipped from the californian studios. identical to what we saw there 20 years ago. Still fun though. Having only japanese commentaries was a bit frustratingh. The harry potter attraction was awesome. very very well done. worth a visit just to see it and I am not what... More

Universal Studio magic, the Japanese way. Even in summer, the park is not crowded, and even the waiting time to enter the ride is fun. Great rides, very good street shows, and restaurants and shop for all (cheap or expensive), what else could you ask ? The refresh zone are a great idea in summer.

Went here with my family late July and it was scorching HOT! Went on a Friday and Saturday and it was so busy! All the restaurants were too small to hold the amount of visitors in the park! People just wanted a nice cool place to sit since it was so hot outside and hardly any covered spaces or shade.... More

The JR line to Universal is relatively cheap fro Osaka station. Take the train to Sakurajima getting off at Universal City, this aviods changing at Nishikujo. The entrance gate is just a short walk. Entrance fee is about $75. Though the leaflets mention bringing in food and drink is not permitted, we found that bags were not checked. The food inside... More

There are lots of attractions and rides for almost 7,000 yen entrance fee, but additional 4,000 yen if you wish to see their new attraction Harry Potter. The Parade of lights starts at 8:30 in the evening and finishes in an hour or so, for us who need to travel by car for 4 hours going home, that is too late.
