I visited USJ on Nov 27th Thu with my wife, my 20 yr old son and 14 yr old daughter. USJ Osaka is our 3rd visit to Universal Studio, the other previous visits were in Singapore and Los Angeles. We chose to visit Osaka because of USJ as my son is a big fan of Harry Potter. And I must... More

We went there on a Thursday morning and there are a lot of people queueing up outside. The staff are nice and friendly. Just remember to get a Express pass for the Harry Potter area or you will have to run there to exchange for a free admission ticket. The Harry Potter ride -- the Forbidden Journey is super fun,... I loved it so much!!! Its my second Universal Studio and big fun of Theme Parks. I definitely liked this one over the Singapore one. We have been here 2 weeks before Halloween and you could already fill the vibe of Halloween, decorations, pumpkin related food, special shows and events! They also just opened up the Harry Potter section which... More

We arrived there on Thursday. After reading other reviews, we expected a lot of people and very long queues. First we plan on going the Hollywood Dream Ride (not the backdrop), but the staff told us that the attraction was suspended due to winds. We carried on to the other rides. I was quite shocked as, like Tokyo Disneyland, he... More

Never mind the lines being long because any good amusement park would have that but the reason I'm upset it's because as soon as it became night they closed the park for a private event so when the wait times got a little faster u wasn't allowed to even get on a ride even though I paid 8500yen. Oh and... More

Went to Osaka Universal and visited the newly opened Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, which i think is better than the Transformer ride in Singapore. The rest of the park has some great rides too - but Back to the Future is now a bit dated. The roller coaster was good too. Also the burger at the US diner... More

We picked a good day to visit USJ, blue skies all around. We would have been able to see and do more if we had planned our visit well, but it was our first time in Japan and we had just arrived so everything was still pretty new and overwhelming :) Getting to Universal City was easy enough via the... This place was unbelievable! It didn't bother us in the slightest, that most attractions were spoken in Japanese, you're in Japan after all! It was a beautiful, bright, cold day, all attractions were open, and VERY busy! With some rides, and attractions, you can choose (at a ticket booth close to that particular ride) a time which best suits you... More

My wife is Japanese and we have a 4 year old and at the time a 3month old. for my sons birthday we took him to USJ. we stayed in the hotel across the road and the room was like a kids playroom, we all slept on one long bed my son loved it. next day we entered the Theme... More

The park is a world class park for sure. Super clean, good layout but English is so poorly spoken that it is very frustrating. A simple question like 'what is inside this dish' can be met with a puzzled (yet always smiling) face. And they will continue to speak to you in Japanese even when you speak English, 99% of... More
