I spent a week in Osaka and this was one of the sights I will remember. I'm not great with heights but somehow, in Japan, you never get the feeling you're going to fall off the top - even though you are at the top, with wonderful views of the city. The escalator is the longest I've ever been on,... More

If you are passing by you w may want to try one of the restaurants located on the ground floors, in particular a Okonomiyaki-ya (restaurant) with a "charismatically rude" owner that makes a very good one. My J-wife suggested it at the time, it's was good and fun. Itadakimasu :-)

Yes the roof of the City does offer you a magnificent view of Osaka as it should be the tallest building in Umeda. It's also a good idea to go there at dusk as you can enjoy the sunset and night view. However, it can be very crowded and the romance that it intends to portray can be easily ruined.... More

Shin Umeda City, this important landmark of the city, in the heart of the city, a short walk from the JR train and bus station Umeda, here it is placed also the Umeda Floating Garden majestic building which you can see obviously buying the ticket; in my opinion the best scenic spots in the city. Around here in this particular... More

It's amazing how you can make a place more romantic then Paris' Eiffle Tower itself. It's a must be place in Osaka. And be sure to go there after sun sets. On the roof it's quiet, warm and you feel like there are no limits (still it's one of the safest place with open roof I've ever been to). Romantic... More

when I travel, always look around heritages, monuments or historical places. however, if you visit some modern places, you can feel "current life" of contemporary people in the city. on the arrival date, it was quite late evening at the hotel, then tried to visit one of places to see night view of the city. There is sky lounge, does... More
