I chose to take a round way cable to climb the mountain, because I didn`t have enough time to trip around kobe. But it was a wrong choice, because it took me 1400 yens and made me lost a lot of beautiful scenery. There were not many flowers which were on in the winter, but the scenery was also worth... More

The herb garden is located in the hills behind Sannomiya. The Ropeway entrance is at Oriental Plaza near the Shin Kobe station. You can ride up to the top station where you get a nice view of Kobe and then walk down through the herb garden to the middle station. The top station has some shops and a cafe and... More

Expect to do a lot of walking. We went in the winter so there went many herbs to see and it was too cold to stare at plants I wouldnt know anyways. Its a nice hike down the hill but just bring good shoes.

I took the one way cable car which cost 900 yen. Round trip cost 1400 yen. I advise to take the same method as me so that you can stroll down while passing by the herb gardens. There are middle section and top section and the herb gardens are located between these two. Any thing further down has nothing but... More

Worth it to start from the station and Hike up. The walk will take about 30 min - 60 min depending on the pace and how often you stop to snap photos or rest to enjoy the view. Taking the cable car is also a must. Have been during each season and even during winter it is a beautiful view... More

By taking the ropeway up to the top of the mountain, you get great views of Kobe and also get to explore the Herb Gardens at the top. We visited in winter so there wasn't much in bloom but we walked through anyway and enjoyed some herbal tea at the cafe. There is a vending machine to order drinks at... More

Kobe was one of my favourite places when I was touring Japan and Nunobiki Herb Garden offers one of the best viewing point of Kobe. Nunobiki is just 10 mins walk away from shin kobe station. You can buy loop bus tics from tourist info counter at the station itself and get a discount coupon for the ropeway. The ride... More

A small German attraction, in Japan, at the top of the mountain where you can have some beers and German sausages, also you can walked through the road seeing different type of plants. You can take the ropeway if you don't want to walk or you can walk the road and see the gardens along the road. It is worth... More

I'm reading negative reviews here about the garden, but all I can say about that is, 'who cares?' When you have this incredible view of Kobe that is unforgettable. I was truly amazed. Also amazingly convenient by bullet train, but a bit of a hike if coming from second closest station.

Maybe the season is not correct, there is absolutely nothing more then a few dried out plant, not to even bother to mention about her sand flowers. This is probably the worst Japanese attraction that I have visited. If it is a season issue, the management should have considered closing it for the season, rather than voluntarily collect entrance fee... More
