Great gardens up on the top of a nearby hill. Really well laid out, very neat and not really large, so it's easy to get around. We got the gondola to the top and walked halfway down to the cafe, then got on the gondola again. Great view from the top.

A fantastic gondola ride to the top of the mountain, with a view of Kobe, albeit was hazy on the day we visited. There are 2 gondola stops, one, half way up & two, the top. You can buy a single or round trip gondola ticket. We bought a round tripper, as we took the ride up and walked half... More

Easy to get to using the hop-on hop-off bus. Panoramic views of the city as you go up in the cable car and also a good feel for the various layers of the gardens as you make your way up the hill. We had lunch at the buffet restaurant at the top. Great selection of food and desserts and lovely... More

I liked the ropeway very much as it gives unique views of the Kobe bay area, as well as the immediate surroundings. Inside the herb garden, you will find many beautiful flowers and plants, which would not only make you feel relaxed, but also provide you with a knowledge or two about various herbs. There is also some small museums/displays/shops... More

Needed a couple of gin and tonics to get on this but it was all worth it - fantastic views down to the sea and beyond. We visited during Spring at sunset. Wonderful evening views with all the twinkling lights below. Didn't stay long as it was quite cool - make sure you've got warm clothing with you

It's good to spend a couple of hours here. Takes you away from the city and gives a relaxing atmosphere. The glasshouse is work a visit, and if you want to take things real easy, have lunch either on hilltop or in the glasshouse café. Herb Gardens need to be visited in warmer climes to enjoy.

Despite the fog and the rains, we were able to take the cable ride and take photos at the top station. We tried taking shots of the view below but because of the fog they did not register well on our camera. Just the same, it was a worthwhile experience for a tourist like me to be able to take... We went up here whilst waiting to be checked in as we arrived early. This was a great place to wander around and while away the time.

Well, when we saw the gondolas going up the mountain from our window at the ANA Crowne Plaza next door we had to visit this place. I didn't keep the receipt but I think we paid about $15 US to visit and for me it was not worth it. I am not into plants or herbs and landscaped areas. If... More
