Great ride up the mountain with the view from the top is well worth the trip and with Honey Ice Cream at the top, I am sure glad I tried the ice cream.

This was a pleasant couple of hours spent on the ropeway and walking down through the gardens to the middle stage of the ropeway. It might be more interesting when there are more plants in flower. The greenhouses are quite good and there is a little café there too. At the top we walked along a track signposted to Mt... More

Only a few minutes walk from Shin-Kobe Shinkansen station, the ropeway takes you up to the garden. On your way up you could see the Nunobiki-no-Taki (Nunobiki Falls) down below, with the view of downtown Kobe down below. Mt. Rokko is quite famous when visiting Kobe but it may take an hour or more for bus plus cablecar to go... More

A great view on a nice day. If you are fit, walk all the way down to Shin-Kobe station via Nunobiki waterfall- you won't believe you are just a short way from a bustling city.

The ride on the cable car and the views of the city make this an attraction worth visiting but the herb garden itself is about as exciting as it sounds. Was left feeling that they could do something a lot better with the space.

I live in Kobe and I've only been here once. When we went I enjoyed the view of Kobe from the mountain top, but I don't remember thinking the Herb Garden was anything special. I guess if you're a Herb enthusiast that there might be something worthwhile. It's hard to say if the view is worth the rope car ride.... More

Perhaps it was the wrong season to visit, since there weren't so many flowers to see, but it was fine for me as I was more interested in the ropeway and scenery. And that didn't disappoint at all. You can see the dam and waterfall while on the ropeway in addition to the beautiful city view. Also, at the glasshouse... More

winter is not a good time for visiting the gardens, there was nothing to see, almost died. only plants in glass house still green. the most interesting was a amazing city view from ropeway. if you visit kobe during spring, summer or autumn- this gardens should be added in your list but i would not recommend for winter.

Was initially deciding between an afternoon trip to Mount Maya or Arima Onsen. Ended up at the Nunoki Herb Garden & Ropeway instead which was highly recommended by one of the staff at the Tourist Infomration Centre at JR Sannomiya Station. Did not regret one bit coming here as it was a nice getaway away from the bustling city centre... More

This was top of my list for my one day trip to Kobe, and I am glad I made it. This place was easy to find from Shin Kobe station. I had wanted to hike up from mid point (at Kaze Nooks) but ended up going all the way up and hiking to mid point instead. It's still breath taking... More
