such a pleasant zoo. lots of beautiful animals in clean enclosures. cleanliness of the zoo is awesome and commendable. staff are helpful & friendly too. can get a bit crowded during holidays and weekends but still a pleasant experience nonetheless. lots of great spots under big trees for a little picnic or snack break. They have a nicely sized amusement... More

It is quite good value for the money but I would prefer to spend more and see animals in large fields. Please update this park as it is closeby to me but the animals are suffering

I saw a white tailed crane pathetically trying to escape from its cage, the polar bear next to a pile of snow rocked relentlessly, two striped skunks were exhibiting typical abnormal zoo behaviour, running to and fro and not relating to each other The red panda, a naturally very active animal, was pacing its small enclosure frantically which is a common... I came to Kobe Oji Zoo at 3.00 pm, and they close at 4.00 pm. The zoo is quite, many animals look like tired and not fun. When we're going to Big Bear spot, the bear sleeps so well. But I'm a little interesting, because I can saw penguin, bear, koala panda, and other animals that I can't see in... More

I was expecting more of this zoo in Kobe. The lions didn't seem to be well treated there and the pandas were a bit angry, the animals looked like irritated to be there. I felt sorry for them being there

the zoo is just like any other zoo... the good thing about this place is during spring time, especially the cherry blossoms viewing, luminary viewing... although the one is mie prefecture (nabana no sato) is bigger, brighter and more colorful, you can still enjoy the beauty of sakura here!

I don’t know if all zoos make me sad or if it was just the Kobe City Oji Zoo, but the animals didn’t look like they were having too much fun. I did get to see some cool animals though, especially a panda and a red panda! The Oji Zoo is extremely easy to get to. Take the Hankyu line... More

The panda on loan looked really sad in his big concrete cage, with just a platform to sit on, not comfortable at all.

Horrible Slow Animal cruelty. These Animals do not have a good life! Some of the animals can hardly turn around. It is so sad to see, don`t let your children see how bad these animals have it. Is there no animal right groups in Japan???

The best thing about this zoo is the price, around five bucks if I remember. That is also the bad thing as well. If the zoo is to improve then it needs to raise the ticket prices. Australian zoos are expensive, and as such, world class venues with ample space for the animals. This zoo is more of a product... More
