This is the highlight of our trip where we get to enjoy panoramic views of Kobe, Osaka and the port in between, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It feels great to breathe in fresh mountain air and visit the various tourist attractions and souvenir shops at the mountain away from the crowds. We later had a... More

Spent a Sunday up Mt. Rokko - took the #16 bus for the Hanshin line to the Rokko Cable Car (which is essentially the entire route, 20 mins) and then the Cable Car up (which is actually a funicular railway, not a suspended cable car) for about 10 mins. The top part is much more geared towards driving around to... More

Mt Rokko has a beautiful views of Kobe and the port... or so I'm told. It was very hazy on the day of my visit, and the city was barely discernible. But it's not the mountain's fault, I suppose. It was still a grand day out. The funicular ride was great, impressively long and steep. The observatory at the top... More

I always reached the top by car to enjoy the view of the city... better after the sunset. In summer it is good to refresh enjoying the cool wind.

I went to Mt Rokko yesterday from Osaka, took the Shinkanesn to Kobe,10 min trip or 30 by Rapid JR Rail. No 16 bus to Mt Rokko Cable car station, 1300 Yen for cable car and bus at the top, the Ropeway was being serviced as it was winter, anyway it would have been to cold to travel the ropeway.... More

I don't think it's worth the trip to see this place, the Venus bridge was better nearer the city and you don't waste too much time

We bought a promotion ticket from Sannomiya train station, to include train, bus, cable cars to Mt Rokko then to Arima Onsen. It was raining day, hazy. We have to take train, walk to bus stop across in rain, took the bus, then a tram uphill, to the top overlooking 'nothing' in haze. We went to nearby Botanic gardens -... More

We took the cable car from Arima Onsen Stn to Rokko Sancho Stn, it's around 20mins! The view is great. We just walked about 10 mins , has a park here. I think is good for the children as they can play a lot of games here.( like rope climbing, grass skiing......,) Also, has a nice cafes and souvenir shop.... More

It took us an hour to finally get to the top of the Rokko mountain. We first took the train, then the bus, and then the cable car. We went up late because we wanted to see the night view, buy everything else had either stopped running or closed for the day so it was pretty boring up there. The... More
